Family Health Center of Worcester is seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Per Diem Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Position Overview: Working under the supervision of a dentist and in compliance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Dentistry regulations, the Registered Dental Hygienist will deliver comprehensive oral hygiene services. Responsibilities include conducting preliminary examinations and charting, reviewing patient medical histories, performing prophylaxis and scaling procedures, capturing and developing radiographs, administering fluoride treatments and sealants, providing oral hygiene education, and ensuring proper maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Dental Hygiene is required.
Experience: Candidates must have one to three years of experience in a community dental setting, with demonstrated excellence in customer service and the ability to create a comfortable environment for patients. Experience working with patients of all ages is preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Current Massachusetts Registered Dental Hygienist license
Current CPR/BLS certification

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant position is fulltime onsite position located at Worcester Health Care for the Homeless (WHCH), which provides trauma-informed medical and behavior health services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The goal is to create a welcoming, empowering, and dignified medical home for those we serve. Our team-based approach provides care at the clinic located at 199 Chandler Street as well as various outreach clinics within the City of Worcester. In addition to medical and behavior health services, patients can access case management, recovery coaches, and Office Based Assisted Treatment (OBAT) for substance-use disorder.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of an RN/LPN, the Medical Assistant provides direct clinical service to patients by performing basic patient care tasks; completes unit clerk responsibilities as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required. Must be graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience Required:
Previous experience in primary care or other health care setting preferred. Demonstrated computer proficiency required.
Professional Licensure/Special Skills and Certification Required:
* Medical Assistant Certification
* CPR/BLS Certification required
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Director of the Worcester Health Care for the Homeless
Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:30pm.
