The salary range for this role is $226,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Position Summary: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans. This role is exclusively focused on independent medical assessments and does not involve treatment. You will be responsible for reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal. These assessments will assist the VA in making accurate disability determinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
Ensure that all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
Assess up to four veterans daily.
Schedule: Part-time or Full-time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepare reports which include vital and disease statistics, workforce evaluations, or medical status of individuals.
Ensure diagnosis, care and treatment follow all protocols established for healthcare delivery program.

Conduct research to increase knowledge about medical issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of Doctor of Medicine Residency program with clinical rotation including Primary Care/Family Practice.
Doctor of Allopathic, Internal or Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Teaching/precepting experience is preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
