Role Description

Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and treating common acute and chronic conditions, managing patient health records, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The physician will also focus on preventive care and patient education.
Our 6 physician assistants and personal medical assistants help our 5 physicians develop a team environment to provide chronic and routine care for elderly, adults, and children for the past 45 years. Physicians rotate weekend telephone call every 5 weeks from anywhere with internet and cell service, with the assistance of a nurse triage company and hospitalist program. Our innovative approach to healthcare has led to the early adoption of the electronic medical records in 2004, use of standardized lab ordering protocols, and maximizing the staff's duties beyond most medical practices.
Our unique practice culture emphasizes work-life balance. Our PAs and MAs filter out and work many InBasket tasks. A dedicated PA refills most chronic meds, and staff are responsible for med prior auths, insurance referrals, and disability paperwork. All clinicians (including PAs and employed physicians) have a voice in how to improve the practice processes with monthly meetings and biannual retreat meetings. The Opportunity
Seeking Board Eligible/Certified Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Internal Medicine physicians.
Emergency Department experience required.
Current CA state license is a plus.
