Onsite access to physical, occupational, and speech therapy including therapy garden, home training, and recreational outings
Interdisciplinary Team Conferences held three times per week across different shifts to include all staff
Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (Occasional Cross-Coverage Only):
20-bed CARF-accredited acute rehab unit (accredited >40 years - top 5 in the nation for longevity)
Common diagnoses include: Stroke, TBI, SCI, orthopedic injuries, LE amputation, cardiac/pulmonary DEB, Guillain-Barré, and complex medical conditions
Average census: 12 patients
Daily admissions/discharges: 2-3 each (Monday-Friday)
Call burden: Rare weekend call, limited to potential admissions when covering
Medical coverage provided Monday-Sunday by dedicated NP hospitalists ( alternating every 7 days)
Robust multidisciplinary rehab staffing, including a fellowship-trained brain injury physiatrist/medical director, 1 additional physiatrist, rehab APP, 16 therapists, and 24/7 nursing (including critical care trained RN)
EMG Program:
3 EMG machines (plus one in rehab unit)
~24 outpatient EMGs/week with excellent show-up rates and room to expand
Dedicated neuro techs handle setup, documentation, and troubleshooting
Providers perform their own nerve conduction studies; certified tech support available upon request
Diagnoses include radiculopathy, compression neuropathies, myopathy, motor neuron disease, and more

Clinic Details:
Current practice comprised of 6 physicians, 3 APPs, an Endocrinologist, a Rheumatologist and 2 Infectious Disease Physicians
Clinic has an outpatient Infusion Suite (non-chemo) with pharmacy support
Robust staff support in the clinic including:
22 clinical staff members, a prescription nurse, dieticians, diabetic educators and phlebotomists to ensure a smooth and efficient practice environment
11 office staff for scheduling and follow up
Clinical RN manager located on the floor
Clinic is open and staffed Monday - Friday 7:30 - 5:30 pm but schedule is flexible - part time (2-3 days) and full time (4-5 days) opportunities are available based on practice desires
Although # of patients per day is flexible, our providers typically see 18-25 patients daily given preference and complexity on their individual and unique schedules

Internal Medicine Residency Program - Outpatient Physician
Benefis Health System, is an academic community hospital in Great Falls Montana, seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join our new residency (2025) as core faculty with the primary responsibility to supervise residents in our Benefis Internal Medicine residency clinic. Position Details:
Teach and precept internal medicine residents in their continuity clinic, creating an effective learning environment with open communication.
Work with the PD and APDs on developing curriculum, mentoring, didactic presentations, in addition to participation in scholarly activities and promotion of resident wellness.
Participate on IM residency program committees (program evaluation and/or clinical competency committees)
Participate in and guide residents on ambulatory quality improvement projects
Teach ambulatory based procedures (joint injection, I&D, WWE, biopsy)
Assist with the residency applicant recruitment process including reviewing applications and conducting interviews.
Additional Information:
Qualified Internal Medicine candidates should have recent outpatient experience with a strong desire to provide high quality, evidence-based patient care to the future generation of Internal Medicine physicians. Teaching experience is strongly preferred but not required.

After onsite work is completed at the hospital, additional calls can be taken from home to allow flexibility - it would be an extremely rare case to come in after hours.
Work with experienced psychiatric partners and a close team focused on providing the best care. This team is truly like a family and will help you develop in the field and be successful in your role.
Our current provider team consists of 1 Inpatient PMHNP 1 inpatient Adult Psychiatrist, 1 outpatient Adult Psychiatrist, 1 outpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist, 2 additional PMHNPs with outpatient clinics, 2 Adult Psychologists, 1 Rehab Psychologist and 2 Adult Neuropsychologists. We also have two Child/Adolescent PMHNPs, a Pediatric Neuropsychologist, an integrated Pediatric Psychologist and a general Pediatric Psychologist integrated in our Women's and Children's Center. In addition to our mental health providers, we also have a great team of inpatient and outpatient counselors, including counselors on our consult-liaison team, who see patients in the ER and on inpatient medical floors, performing initial psych and substance abuse evaluations and providing community resources and therapy.

The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in an intensive care unit. The candidate will provide inpatient pulmonary consultation and support when on service with bronchoscopy procedures including EBUS and Super Dimension navigational bronchoscopy if desired.
21-bed ICU with dual physician coverage during day shifts and nurse practitioners covering most night shifts.
Full time is approximately 168 shifts per year - working a mix of 10- and 12- hour days
Robust department resources include dedicated pharmacist, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy, dietary, chaplaincy, care coordination, clinical nurse leadership and more.
Consulting physicians include CT surgery, interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, neurology, inpatient gastroenterology, infectious disease, general surgery, interventional radiology, nephrology and palliative care.
The department currently employs 5 critical care physicians and 2 critical care nurse practitioners in addition to outpatient pulmonologists.
The candidate will be responsible for teaching medical residents and medical students.

Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity - Block Schedule - Montana
Benefis Hospital, in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join the pediatric inpatient team at our large regional health system. Our inpatient medical experts include Pediatricians, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Anesthesiologists, Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Additional outpatient pediatric resources include: Pediatricians, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Endocrinology, Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatric Neuropsychology, Pediatric Psychology, and Pediatric Therapies.
Pediatric Hospitalist Details
Full time = 182 shifts per year
Schedule is typically 7 on/7 off schedule or 14 on/14 off
Inpatient team of 2 Pediatric Physicians and 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
2 providers (1 physician, 1 nurse practitioner per shift) alternating 1st call every other day/night for work life balance.
24 hour shifts (home call)
Inpatient pediatric rounds, newborn rounds, and response to ED for pediatric patients
Each day can bring its own unique challenges with the variety of patients and families that are cared for in our region. If we are unable to care for a pediatric patient or if the patient requires a true PICU or Specialty care, we have a medical jet for transport to Seattle Children's Hospital.
Pediatric Hospitalist will need to be comfortable with occasional short term pediatric ventilator management post op (physician resources in pediatric anesthesia are available along with a strong, experienced, Respiratory Therapy team.
Acuity ranges from overnight admission for observation to acute PICU level care. A great opportunity to care for a wide variety of conditions and make a difference in our growing community.

14 room, 16 bed unit
Population of newborns to 17 years of age
All general pediatric diagnosis including surgical, respiratory, pediatric/adolescent psych patients, NAS babies, patients with chronic conditions, some PICU, DKA, complex cardiac conditions, and trauma.
Daily census approximately 6 patients - increase in cold and flu season
Colorful, kid friendly rooms with designated family area for parents
All pediatric staff on unit is PALS and ENPC trained
EPIC EMR with remote and HAIKU/Canto access.

Pediatric Hospitalists have a collaborative relationship with NICU providers, Surgeons, Peds Endocrinology, and Peds Cardiology along with a strong relationship with our Emergency Department and local Outpatient Pediatric providers.
