With specialty clinics spanning Turner syndrome, Noonan syndrome, obesity, and adrenal leukodystrophy, we're poised to scale subspecialty impact and expand clinical research opportunities.
Scope & Impact
As one of ten board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologists alongside four pediatric endocrinology nurse practitioners, you'll shape a full-service team. You'll leverage our fully integrated EMR, co-lead multidisciplinary clinics-including DSD, CAH, thyroid cancer, and gender care-and mentor trainees in our UCI-affiliated endocrine fellowship. Your contributions will support our mission to advance care and maintain our leadership in pediatric endocrinology.
Success & Outcomes
Success means delivering exceptional clinical care across approximately seven half-day clinic sessions per week, while dedicating one full day to administrative and follow-up duties and a half-day for team alignment. You'll lead clinical research projects-whether industry-sponsored or investigator-initiated-in areas such as diabetes management or rare endocrine conditions. You will have opportunities to become recognized as a local expert, contribute to peer-reviewed publications, and support community outreach initiatives.

About the Practice
Our team performs over 3,000 image-guided pediatric interventions annually, with year-over-year growth exceeding 20%. We are the only dedicated pediatric IR program in Orange County and serve as a critical hub for patients across the region.
CHOC is unique in that Interventional Radiology is an independent department-purpose-built and equipped with dedicated capital investment, not repurposed from other service lines. The department was developed specifically for pediatric IR and opened in 2025 with entirely new infrastructure and technology. Procedural Scope
We perform the full spectrum of pediatric interventional procedures, including:
Vascular access
Enteral and biliary interventions
Vascular malformation therapies
Embolization and angiography
DVT/PE thrombolysis
Craniofacial endovascular procedures
Image-guided musculoskeletal interventions
CHOC also supports a strong multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Center, where IR plays a foundational role in collaboration with hematology, plastics, dermatology, ENT, and genetics.
Academic & Institutional Environment
CHOC maintains strong academic affiliations with UC Irvine and supports teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students. Opportunities for research, innovation, and institutional leadership are abundant and encouraged. The IR section plays an active role in hospital-wide initiatives to improve value, patient experience, and faculty engagement.
Minimum Requirements
MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
Board-certified or board-eligible in Interventional Radiology
Completion of a Pediatric Interventional Radiology fellowship preferred, but negotiable
Eligible for California medical licensure
Demonstrated interest in teaching, innovation, and/or multidisciplinary care
