Safely transports patients to and from an anesthetizing location and ensures appropriate care during the postoperative period. Interacts with staff and patients in a way that shows respect and consideration for the individual. Provides age and developmentally appropriate anesthesia services for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric inpatient and outpatient populations. Essential Functions Patient Care 1. Prepares operating room; sets up and checks anesthesia machine, supplies, medications and gases. Prepares additional equipment as needed. 2. Provides anesthetic care seeing the patient through the perioperative period according to the national standards of the ASA and AANA. 4.
