Qualifications and Skills
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine. Completion of residency training. Completion of mandatory continuing medical education as required for medical license. Completion of mandatory in-house orientation and in-service programs as required by GCHC policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the scope of practice for physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and other clinical staff in North Carolina. Knowledge of safety and infection control standards applicable to an ambulatory care setting.
Current and valid medical license in good standing with the North Carolina Medical Board required.
Certification in Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) required within six months of hire date then every two years thereafter.
ACLS or PALS preferred.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate physician to join our urgent care team on a part-time basis. As a part time physician, we are willing to pay for the Civil Surgeon certificate in which you will be responsible for conducting immigration medical examinations for individuals seeking adjustment of status in the United States. Additionally, you will provide urgent medical care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions in our urgent care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct immigration medical examinations in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Complete all necessary forms and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations, laboratory testing, and diagnostic procedures as needed.
Provide prompt and effective medical treatment to patients presenting with urgent care needs.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physician assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients seen in the urgent care facility.
Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
Stay current with developments in immigration law and medical guidelines relevant to immigration medical examinations.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Valid license to practice medicine in the state where the urgent care facility is located.
Certification by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Civil Surgeon, or eligibility to obtain certification.
Experience conducting immigration medical examinations preferred.
Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks appropriately.
Commitment to providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options. The exact schedule will be determined based on the needs of the urgent care facility and the availability of the candidate. Compensation: $90.00 - $110.00 per hour

Join MRG Exams to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans. This is a rewarding non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.
Note: This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.
