Aspects of the Primary Care physician role: Team based approach; Each provider is part of a subset or pod of the larger primary care team at our Lynnwood site. Each pod integrates MD/DO, ARNP or PA , with RN and MA support. The ARNP or PA helps support indirect care. It is standard to have team coverage when a provider is out of the office. With effective communication and empowerment of lead MAs, pods are able to adapt and make changes quickly that fit their local team needs. Integrative primary care model; Each primary care team site has an embedded pharmacist, social worker and psychiatrist partnering to provide a focused consultation model resulting in excellent health outcomes. Social workers are available to help address social/emotional/behavioral/environment needs. Embedded specialty services ; You will have the opportunity to work side by side with medical specialists in your clinic. You will have referral options to over 30+ medical specialties within Virginia Mason with collegial and responsive results.
