Depending on interest and qualifications, the successful applicant will either assume the role of Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation immediately or have the option to be mentored into that role over 1-3 years by the current Medical Director and Division Chief Dr. David K. In addition, the provider will have the opportunity to care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of kidney disorders, including those patients on dialysis and with kidney transplants in the inpatient and outpatient settings. The provider must be capable of performing procedures including hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, peritoneal dialysis, therapeutic plasma exchange, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and kidney biopsy with sedation.
