Patient assessment and diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive physical exams, take health histories, and order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests to diagnose acute and chronic illnesses. Ability to perform simple procedures such as suturing, I&Ds, etc.
Treatment planning:
Develop and implement treatment plans, which can include prescribing medications, providing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
· Patient education and counseling:
Provide patients and their families with health education and counseling on disease management and health promotion.
Care coordination:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, as needed, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Referrals:
Refer patients to other health professionals or specialists when necessary.
Leadership:
Serve in leadership role for the entire clinic staff, working with both the team members and GHV Administration to ensure smooth and patient centric clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Completion of a master?s or doctoral degree program in nursing from an accredited program, with advanced clinical training
Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Current, unencumbered nursing license in TN.
Clinical Competency: Demonstrated and successful duties of Nurse Practitioner
Interpersonal skills: Effective communication skills for patient counseling and collaboration with team.
Calmness under pressure: The ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
BLS certification
Prior experience in a clinic or outpatient setting preferred.
Proficient in EHR systems and basic computer skills
Excellent communication, organizational and people skills
Ability to work in a patient focused, collaborative environment.
DOT Certified
