Job Title: Psychiatrist (PRN)
Job Summary: The Adult or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services across the agency. They will evaluate and diagnose individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine condition in an outpatient setting, face-to-face, and/or by telehealth. They will determine pharmacological treatment for patients as well as facilitate admitting patients to the hospital or respite as needed.
Schedule: PRN as needed
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and diagnose individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine condition in an outpatient setting, face-to-face and/or by telehealth.
2. Pharmacological treatment for patients including prescribing medications using InfoScriber, as well as providing follow-up.
3. Facilitate admitting patients to the hospital or respite and consulting with MCRT when needed.
4. Supervise Nurse Practitioner and/or residents as assigned.
5. Coordinate medical aspects of treatment with Nurse, Care Management Supervisor and Care Managers.
6. Participate and provide supervision of multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and provide consultation by phone when needed.
7. Maintain active role in treatment team.
8. Consult with outside Physicians regarding care managed consumers as necessary and assist with communication to the PCP.
