You will be responsible for reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal. These assessments will assist the VA in making accurate disability determinations. Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal. Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions. Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings. Ensure that all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment. Assess up to four veterans daily. Schedule:

* Reviews and guides protocols in chronic patient managements including coordinating efforts with prosthetics department to meet patients needs and maintain fiscal responsibility.
Clinical Duties include but are not limited to:
* Responds to and completes consults received for the evaluation of Neurology including:
* Performs a comprehensive, detailed, targeted, initial history and physical examination in compliance with national guidelines.
* Orders diagnostic studies; such as laboratory tests, X-rays, electromyography (EMG), electroencephalogram (EEGs) and other tests.
* Consults other disciplines, as necessary, to complete the patient evaluation.
* Carries out health promotion and disease prevention activities including education and shared decision-making.
* Competence in neurological procedures is desirable and documentation of procedures within the past 12 months will be requested reflective of the scope of privileges requested.
* Participates in all VISN and national level efforts in neurological programs.
