A family service assistant assists and supports by providing routine services and clerical assistant to clients. You will schedule appointments and transport the client to their desired location. You will also understand and refer the problem of clients to the appropriate team. Similarly, you will observe the behaviors when you visit the clients either at home or somewhere else and report the behaviors to the appropriate party. You may need to interview and get basic information from clients and give feedback to the superior.

The family service assistants earn an average of $27,571 annually. To be a family service assistant, a valid driver's license is required because you will have to either drive the client or drive to go and meet the client. Strong knowledge of health or human services support is equally important. An excellent verbal and written communication skill and experience in the job role or relevant work experience is an added advantage.
