Nanny family service assistant job description

MAMORANECK, NY- Incredible family (both parents are attorneys) with a 10 year old (girl) and 12 year old (boy), are looking for a FULL-TIME NANNY or MANNY/ HOUSEHOLD ASSISTANT to join their household ASAP. This person must be available and flexible enough to work a fluid schedule. Both parents work full-time and have very demanding schedules. Mom does work from home more often than not, so the schedule will fluctuate, so you must be flexible. They can easily guarantee 40 hrs/wk, M-F. Pay is commensurate with experience via payroll in compliance with state's tax laws + overtime + PTO. They typically take 6-7 weeks of vacation a year, in which you are welcome to come or use that as paid time off.

They are looking for someone who is going to partner with them, to help with the kids and the household schedule. The kids are the primary responsibility but while they are at school and as they become more independent, they are looking for a family assistant/house manager who can have a long term career with their family. They need someone who can work independently and is proactive rather than requiring them to give a list of to-dos. They have a few investment properties that they would also like the person to assist with managing if possible but not required.

Mom is essentially looking for her right hand! You will be in charge of all childcare related duties and in helping with the the scheduling & functioning of the household! You will be responsible for helping with getting the kids to and from school and activities, grocery shopping, organization, meal prep, helping with homework, etc. They are seeking someone who is super smart, resourceful, and someone who can anticipate needs. A real problem- solver and fast thinker, who is quick on their feet and always prepared! They have a 9lb Cavapoo who will be your best friend, you will help manage his care and set up appointments. They live in a quiet part of town about 1 mile from the train (but up a very big hill). They have a hiking trail nearby for walks. Lots of street parking. They have a car for the nanny to use but you must have your own vehicle to use as well if needed, gas and mileage reimbursement provided.

The children have Spanish at home once a week, music lessons at home once a week and then afterschool sports 2-3 times a week. They go to school no later than 8:07 am (son leaves for school at 7:17 and daughter at 8:07) and get home via bus around 3:30 unless they have sports which happen either at school or need to be driven to sports. The children are fun and outgoing. Generally they get along really well. They love to be outdoors and play tag or ride their bikes. They also love reading and playing chess. Both kids love to be in the kitchen and help cooking or baking.

They are ideally looking for someone who is a self-starter and organized. Flexibility is key as the hours can change but they are able to give a schedule in the beginning of the month. They are looking fo someone who is going to assist them in managing the day-to-day and longer term of the kids and household. Punctuality is of utmost importance! They want someone who loves the outdoors and enjoys being active. Ideally, this person can play with the kids but also sit with them in a quiet moment. Both kids love to play lacrosse, read and to play chess.

They spend a month in August in Nantucket, so would love for you to ideally accompany them for the month (or at least two weeks) there as well. They do require occasional evenings and overnights from time to time.

Looking for someone to start ASAP. They are open to a NATIONWIDE SEARCH and are willing to provide relocation assistance for the best fit!
