Dynamic treatment program for children seeks experienced, certified teaching assistant to work with students ages 5-7 in a self-contained classroom as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Mount Pleasant Academy., the state's premiere treatment facility for children with psychiatric challenges, is looking to expand its treatment team of educators, psychologists, speech and occupational therapists, nursing and psychiatry to provide comprehensive services for our students. The ideal candidate will possess Teaching Assistant certification and have significant experience working with children with special needs. This is a 225-day position, full-time with benefits. Working with an existing three-person grant team and reporting to the Director of Grant Administration, this position will work closely with executive management, leadership and partner organizations to craft high impact proposals for funding to support FSRI's 30+ programs which span our Health, Healing, Hope and Home pillars, as well as our affiliates. This will also include working with elected officials, federal and state agencies and others on letters of support, letters of interest/inquiry, responses to requests for contract bids, related funder reporting, etc. Specific Duties/ Responsibilities: Grant & Donation Research Researches and identifies diverse federal, state, local government as well as private foundation funding, and summarizes findings for the Director and Executive Management. Researches, coordinates, authors, and follows up on requests for donations (e.g., technology equipment, holiday gifts, etc). Grant Development Analyzes funder guidance and ensures all funding applications, letters of interest/inquiry, bid responses, and reports are submitted by required deadlines. Develops high impact proposals, well aligned with funder format, content requirements and agency standards. Ensures the highest standards of grammar, accuracy, and punctuation in all writing assignments. Submits proposals, bids, and reports via electronic grant application platforms, as necessary. Maintains electronic grant, contract, and report files as per FSRI policy. Budget Development and Tracking Coordinates with FSRI's Finance team and/or program teams to develop budgets in accordance with funder requirements and closely aligned to the program application. Primary responsibility for providing casework and administrative supervision, leadership and oversight of assigned staff across housing-based programs as well as maintaining a caseload.
