This will also include working with elected officials, federal and state agencies and others on letters of support, letters of interest/inquiry, responses to requests for contract bids, related funder reporting, etc. Specific Duties/ Responsibilities: Grant & Donation Research Researches and identifies diverse federal, state, local government as well as private foundation funding, and summarizes findings for the Director and Executive Management. Researches, coordinates, authors, and follows up on requests for donations (e.g., technology equipment, holiday gifts, etc). Grant Development Analyzes funder guidance and ensures all funding applications, letters of interest/inquiry, bid responses, and reports are submitted by required deadlines. Develops high impact proposals, well aligned with funder format, content requirements and agency standards. Ensures the highest standards of grammar, accuracy, and punctuation in all writing assignments. Submits proposals, bids, and reports via electronic grant application platforms, as necessary. Maintains electronic grant, contract, and report files as per FSRI policy. Budget Development and Tracking Coordinates with FSRI's Finance team and/or program teams to develop budgets in accordance with funder requirements and closely aligned to the program application. Review expenditure of awarded funds and develop required program reporting. FSRI Program Coordination Proactively communicates with internal stakeholders about grant/contract deliverables. Coordinates closely with FSRI's Quality Management Team to develop logic models and SMART goals for proposal development. Funder Coordination Coordinates with FSRI program teams and develops funder reports, as assigned. Coordinates with Advancement colleagues and program teams to plan funder site visits. Coordinates with FSRI's Communications & Marketing team to publicize successful grant efforts. Other Adheres to agency grant approval processes and quality management standards. Conducts other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Stellar writing skills and a Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, human services preferred and/or related experience. A minimum of 2-3 years grant writing experience preferred. Experience with the development of federal and State of RI proposals preferred, including uploading application materials through their systems. Position Summary: To provide supervision of women/children in an emergency shelter setting. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in social work-related field or significant residential/childcare experience required. To assist each resident to make decisions about daily life, conduct and discipline within the boundaries of Agency policy and the requirements of the contractual agreement with the Department of Children, Youth and Family. To provide an environment that promotes the physical and mental well being of each child. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting. Qualifications: FSRI is looking for people who are empathetic, good listeners, enjoy working with youth, and see hope for the future for everyone no matter what barriers or struggles a person has faced. We work 24/7 and need applicants who are willing and capable to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as scheduled. Candidates can have a variety of educational, work, and personal experience which may make them good candidates. Some backgrounds include previous residential work experience, obtaining Bachelors or similar in psychology, social work, or related fields. We also have staff who do not have Bachelors degrees but who have experience as Community Health Workers, childcare workers, or personal experience. We want to learn about you and what drives you and see if this role is a good fit. Staff must have knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues. The position requires reliable transportation, valid drivers license, proof of automobile insurance, registration, inspection and driving record. In addition, the reliable transportation must have a minimum of three seats in addition to the drivers seat. Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay. Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay. Physical Requirements: This position requires community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: Travel to and from community locations and residential site locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to push or pull 10 lbs or more. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to perform restraint techniques if needed and deal with physically aggressive people.
