Must be approved by Applewood to transport clients in own vehicle JOB SUMMARY: The MRSS Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will provide Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) to youth (age 2-20) and families who have called the crisis hotline with a family identified crisis. The MRSS Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will respond face-to-face (in person or via video conferencing) with another MRSS Team member to high risk crisis situations within an hour to assess the youth and stabilize the family. After the initial 72 hours, the family will receive on-going stabilization and care coordination services from the MRSS QMHS and other members of the MRSS team in various community settings. The team works to provide support - including education and consultation for parents and/or caregivers, case coordination, and symptom management and monitoring for up to 42 days. This is a Part-Time Position with flexible work hours. 2nd shift availability - (12pm - 8:30pm) is required for this position ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide mobile response to a family identified crisis within one hour. Engage youth and families in de-escalating the crisis and assess for risk. Facilitate hospitalization for clients as necessary. Assist with the completion of the CANS assessment and help develop a safety plan and a MRSS plan. Provide ongoing stabilization services with the youth and families for up to six weeks. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client's treatment according to HIPPA guidelines. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material. Recognize the significance of the parent and/or caregiver in the client's life and demonstrate the skills to engage the client, primary family, and other supportive adults in the treatment planning process. Accept assignment of cases from the supervisor to provide QMHS Services for clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed, including: community organizations, schools, other health and social service professionals, the justice system, and other agencies involved with the client. Provide QMHS Services including, but not limited to: development/review of the client's treatment plan. crisis work - providing assistance and support in crisis situations. support, including education and consultation for families and/or significant others regarding the client's mental illness. individual interventions. symptom monitoring and self-management of symptoms. assistance in increasing social support skills and networks. coordination of necessary evaluations and assessments, including referral and linkage to other healthcare, behavioral health care, and non-health care services to avoid more restrictive levels of treatment. coordination of all services identified on the client's treatment plan. necessary follow-up to determine if services are adequately meeting the needs of the client. access to resources in the community. OTHER DUTIES: Work a flexible work week which includes evenings and weekends. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.     Maintain a safe, supportive environment for survivors residing in the shelter. Provide individualized support, resources, and crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by using Trauma-Informed approaches. Job Description Required Education, Experience and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR, First Aid, AED, and Narcan certifications preferred. At least 1 year of experience with survivors of trauma, mental health, or addiction preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license and insurability; ability to pass background checks (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigation) Role and Responsibilities Provide confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors, including but not limited to: crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, shelter intakes, referrals, safety planning, and follow-up care. Assist with shelter operations, including: providing shelter coverage, safety, transportation, conflict resolution, assist with cleaning/food prep as needed, cleaning responsibilities, facilitating workshops for survivors on self-sufficiency skills, and provide daily survivor engagement. Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policy. Collaborate with agencies to secure services for survivors and support case managers and H&H staff in individualized survivor plans. Participate in professional development and community representation. Always adheres to Service Excellence standards. Complies with agency policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, CARF standards and educational/certification/registry requirements. Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Accept and process applications and referrals from clients desiring services from the Child Support Enforcement Agency and referrals from the IV-A/IV-D/IV-E interface. Request sanctions for noncompliance. Interview clients to secure information concerning location of absent parents, paternity, enforcement of court orders for spousal support, child support, medical support, and other such court related actions. Conduct administrative review of cases on an ongoing basis and take action to modify such orders in accordance with the Ohio Supreme Court guidelines and other applicable laws and regulations. Determine income and calculate child support obligations based on established guidelines and applicable laws and regulations. Perform investigations in order to locate assets, verify the location of absent parents, to establish paternity, or to collect such information needed to establish, enforce, terminate or modify court orders. Keep accurate records of actions on case narrative and maintain records of all child support court actions. Generate necessary CSEA correspondence to clients, obligors, employers, courts and other governmental agencies related to the Child Support program. Obtain genetic samples from custodial parent, child, alleged father, or other appropriate family members as ordered by the court or administrative hearing officer. Research and verify private medical insurance coverage for case participants and adjust updates financial records based on findings. Enter and retrieve data from appropriate systems. Research, obtain, and interpret journal entries and/or any other court documents pertaining to child support and/or spousal support. Update SETS based on the court orders. Initiate administrative enforcement actions including, but not limited to, default, income withholdings, seek work orders, passport suspension, license suspension, financial institution data matches, liens, lump sum, tax and lottery intercept. Assist CSEA legal counsel and/or Prosecutor in matters pertaining to child support collections; arrange enforcement and prosecution for failure to provide support. Analyze, verify, calculate balances and reconcile discrepancies. Update case financial records. Accept client payments, balance cash drawer and prepare daily deposit. Work with Child Support Payment Central to resolve issues regarding payments, recoupments, stop payments, voids, and payment corrections. Post cash, money order, and checks in the system designated by the State. Obtain agreements when child support overpayments are discovered. Initiate and respond to Intergovernmental actions to establish, modify and enforce child support and medical orders. Prepare CSEA case records for transfer to other county CSEAs. Answer incoming calls and respond to questions from clients. Contact clients' employers and other income sources. Make outbound calls to clients, employers, state and intergovernmental agencies, attorneys, etc. Regularly review and develop a comprehensive knowledge of CSEA rules, regulations and policy and procedures. Testify in court or in hearings concerning cases, to include Domestic Relations/Juvenile Courts/Criminal Courts and/or Administrative Hearings. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
