Description
As a member of Apple's commercial litigation team, you will not be merely monitoring outside counsel. Rather, you will personally be formulating and driving strategy as well as working with a number of cross-functional teams and stakeholders across all product areas. The position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a trial-focused approach. Travel is anticipated. You will operate as part of a supportive and fun team of lawyers, legal specialists, and support staff who work closely together to protect Apple's interests.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of major law firm and/or in-house litigation experience, including experience with competition-related litigation, subpoenas, and other investigations.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong technology interest and aptitude.
Trial experience and experience beyond competition related litigation.
Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills are essential.

The base pay range for this role is between $180,300 and $271,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

YOUR IMPACT

BBI is seeking an LCSW, LPC, or LMHC to serve as our Child & Family Trauma Specialist and is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and ongoing administration of trauma-informed care at Bright Beginnings. The position is responsible for the full implementation and delivery of high quality, comprehensive services to children and families. The individual will have considerable ability to understand chronic homelessness, intergenerational poverty, their causes, and two generational approaches and solutions. This person must have the ability to provide effective leadership to plan and direct the work of others and the ability to establish effective working relationships with the public and others, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be well versed in the Head Start Performance Standards and Other Regulations, Child Abuse regulations, and District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR).
Essential Duties:
Responsible for the overall trauma-informed care at Bright Beginnings.
Provide trauma-informed and culturally competent therapy sessions to clients. Sessions may be individual, family, or group therapy.
To monitor and evaluate clients' progress respecting confidentiality issues for project evaluation purposes.
Maintain a caseload of individual clients.
Coordinate clinical trauma training for the graduate student program.
Provide clinical supervision to graduate interns.
To ensure that the therapy provided is of the highest possible professional standard and that the work is safe and ethical.
Perform assessments including assessments of mental health needs and risk assessments.
Plan and implement therapy applying psychological principles when working with individuals and groups to assist in changing, improving, understanding, or managing situations.
Build relationships with clients and evaluate clients' outcomes.
Write reports, keep records, and provide written and verbal reports, respecting client confidentiality issues.
Complete and submit required monthly reports to the Therapeutic Services Manager through HMIS, ChildPlus, and the End of Month Report to the Head Start Enterprise System (HSES).
Supervise and maintain accurate and timely written/electronic records; including end-of-month reports, assessments, special education documentation, screening instruments, anecdotal observations, documents for all transitions, and other required forms. (ChildPlus, HSES).
Ensure overall compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of information at all times.
Attend all training, staff meetings, and team meetings as required.
Actively participate in community and program-wide activities and events increasing awareness of program services offered through BBI.
Work collectively with all program staff.

Qualifications:
Mission and culture alignment;

CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of Child Development Centers (CDC), youth programs and summer camps (if available/assigned) as well as providing parent support, training, and guidance.
Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone or web application to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service/family member.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth and provides appropriate linkages. Consistently visible within the assigned location(s) which allows MFLC services to be accessible. When working with children, counselor must abide by line-of-sight protocol. Partners with POC to provide CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an effective and professional working relationship with the installation/facility POC.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which the counselor is assigned. Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) program manager. The CYB will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed or at the request of the Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees, initiatives, studies, pilot programs other contract activities as assigned/appropriate as directed by the customer and/or Magellan. This includes participation in pilot program certification and training processes, completion of activity documentation, integration of pilot activities in non-medical counseling work, and the utilization of applicable technology to complete required activities.
