About the Position We have a general job posting that captures all of our existing open positions for mental health associates at different facilities in Lane County! We are hiring Residential Associates and Personal Care Associates (PCAs). These positions require that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness; support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; keep accurate clinical documentation; and provide housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication administration. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness (e.g. memory care in an Assisted Living Facility), then any of these positions may be a good fit for you! Vocational Training Program Persons with three years' experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field may qualify to register with MHACBO (Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon) as a QMHA-R and start accruing hours towards their 1000 required supervised hours to apply for certification as a QMHA-I. ColumbiaCare offers a Vocational Training Program to accelerate the training, on-the-job experiential learning, and testing preparation for qualified employees to be able to complete their certification in as little as 6 months. Provide input to the program's Intra-Agency Concern Team regarding children in assigned caseloads with mental health, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns. Ensure mental health and social-emotional concerns are documented and follow-up occurs. Assist the Education/Disabilities Coordinator or his/her delegate in developing Behavior Action Plans for assigned children. Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and complete records of all services rendered, within the format assigned by Kidco, including electronic reconrds; submit such records within an assigned timeframe. Submit invoice for services in a timely manner. Necessary Physical/Mental Abilities: Exercise sound judgment and decision-making ability in crisis situations. Ability to work as a team, collaborating with parents and community resources. Frequent driving to program sites and appointments off site.
