POSITION REQUIREMENTS

LICENSING, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
* Applicants are required to possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's license, Class C.
* Incumbents are required to possess a current First Aid and Personal Safety certificate or obtain one within 60 days of appointment.
* Incumbents are required to possess a current CPR certificate or obtain one within 60 days of appointment.

The Behavioral Support Staff's job is to provide direction and hands-on support with any and all needs our clients have, but the Behavioral Support Staff is not a butler! SCHEDULE
Behavioral Support Staff are hired with specific set schedules, which makes planning the rest of your life around work easier! The people we support need 24/7 care so we have a variety of full-time schedules.
The rate of pay for the Behavioral Support Staff ranges between $23 to $27 per hour dependent upon verifiable, related experience with behavioral supports. This information is reviewed during the application and interview process by our Human Resources team.

Our Behavioral Support Staff provide support in Solano County and work in the home and in the community of the person they're supporting, so the work is done... where our clients live and play! JOB REQUIREMENTS
Our Behavioral Support Staff position requires at least six months of verifiable experience working with people who have regular behavioral challenges. Experience beyond six months is reviewed in relation to wage offered.
The Behavioral Support Staff role also requires driving which means we require a valid California Driver License, current auto insurance, and clean & reliable vehicle.

THE POSITION

Victim Advocate II is the journey-level class in this series. Victim Advocate II is the experienced level classification. * Conduct trauma-informed interviews and assessments for victims of crime in the office and in non-office settings, including crime scenes, hospitals, victims' homes, law enforcement agencies or other organizations to assess victim's emotional, social, and physical needs, interests, safety concerns and anticipated obstacles;
* Help identify services, coping skills and resources needed;
* Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed assistance to child and adult victims of crime and/or families of victims of crime suffering from trauma or complex trauma by asking good questions, listening to what they need, helping them understand the effects of trauma and empower them to take the next best step;

The Social Work Assistant provides assistance and manages a caseload of participants working in close coordination with the IDT and Social Worker. The Social Work Assistant functions as a liaison between the participants, their family members, and the IDT by offering advice, implementing treatment plans, coordinating community services, and completing necessary paperwork.
**Essential Job Duties:**
+ Establish rapport with participants and families to provide psychosocial support
+ Deliver and document social work interventions as agreed upon within scope of practice including arranging necessary resources and services and assisting with care setting transitions
+ In coordination with other Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) members, coordinate services as needed pertaining to coordination of care such as housing, DMV needs, utility bills, and other community aid needs
+ Complete IDT care plan reviews with participants and family members within regulatory time frames
+ Conduct home visits, hospital visits, skilled nursing visits, as necessary
+ Assist with completing grievances, appeals incident reports, APS reports, and other quality and compliance requirements as needed
**Job Requirements:**
+ High school diploma or equivalency
+ Associate degree in social work, human services, social science, or relevant field preferred
+ Reliable means of transportation
+ Previous experience assisting people with behavioral health and substance abuse issues, preferred
+ Previous experience facilitating solutions with difficult psychosocial and family circumstances preferred
