What you will do:
Supports the psychosocial development of children during hospitalization, surgeries, and/or out-patient visits. Provides developmental activities or creates treatment plans compatible with medical and psychosocial needs, interests, and capabilities to assist in the adjustment to a hospital environment or setting, preparing for a medical intervention or procedure, coping with hospitalization illness, death, and dying. Coordinates design and maintenance of physical, therapeutic, developmental and educational environment of Child Life Services.

Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field required
Must meet the requirements to take the Child Life certification exam
Child Life Certification

What Will I Bring:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the relevant State Bar.
4+ years of experience practicing law in an internationally/nationally‑recognized law firm or in‑house legal department (a mix of law firm and in‑house experience is strongly preferred).
Experience in the advertising or ad tech industry, technology transactions, or related fields is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to independently draft and negotiate a wide range of complex contracts, and to solve for potential legal and business issues without a playbook.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated success in working in a fast‑paced environment, including delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.

The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in advancing community health and engagement initiatives across Chicago. Working closely with internal and external partners, this position will support the identification of health priorities and the development of programs to address. This position will coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and events. Responsibilities will include serving as a contact with community partners, maintaining relationships, supporting communication efforts, facilitating program logistics, assisting in grant applications and reporting and providing administrative and other program coordination functions.
Job Functions:
Collaborate with internal and external partners, including community leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers and public health practitioners to identify health priorities and develop community health and engagement strategies.
Coordinate the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of community health and engagement initiatives, programs and events within the Magoon Institute under the guidance of senior staff and manager, keeping in mind community priorities, community health strategies and organizational mission.
Act as contact for Lurie Children's with community partners, residents and marginalized populations across Chicago neighborhoods, particularly those disproportionately affected by health inequities. Build and maintain strong relationships with community-based organizations, schools, libraries, parks, places of worship, businesses, and service providers.
Support coordination of community and city-wide convenings, trainings and workshops as well as assisting with action planning, ensuring diverse representations from various backgrounds and lived experience.
Coordinate program logistics, track project expenditures, facilitate meetings and events and maintain project materials and documentation to ensure timely and budget-conscious deliverables.
Prepare regular status reports on project progress, outcomes and impact.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms/space, making copies, preparing meeting supplies, taking notes and compiling key takeaways, decisions and action items.
Assist in the development and implementation of communications, marketing and/or social media efforts for specific community health and engagement initiatives and education, including the delivery of presentations to various audiences.
Support program evaluation through data collection, gathering participant feedback, and monitoring outputs and outcomes to measure effectiveness and demonstrate impact.
Assist in facilitating connections between Lurie Children's healthcare providers and community partners to ensure access to health education and resources for children and families. Engage Lurie Children's leaders, employees, physicians, and trainees in community health efforts.
Assist in grant and philanthropic applications and reporting to funders, as well as fundraising efforts under the guidance of senior staff, manager and dept leadership.
Facilitate trainings, provide support and assist with human resource processes for program assistants, students, interns and volunteers.
Attend and contribute to regular check-ins with leadership, managers, staff and collaborators, and attend team and department meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is directly related to the duties of the job.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in community health programming or engagement, education, healthcare/public health, administration, or related field required; experience with project coordination preferred.
Strong project coordination experience and organizational skills required.
Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends, travel throughout Chicago likely.
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 software required. Experience with database management and survey software and tools preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiply projects.

Provide transportation to essential appointments (e.g., medical visits, WIC, community services).
Offer parent coaching, household budgeting support, and homemaker-type assistance (e.g., cleaning, daily household routines).
Monitor and support healthy parent-child interactions.
Respond to family crises as needed, including after-hours situations.
Participate in consultation and supervision meetings with the program supervisor.
Maintain accurate records and follow all IDCFS rules, confidentiality standards, and program procedures.
Attend required trainings and maintain updated knowledge of child development, trauma, mental health, substance use, and family dynamics.

Qualifications

Provide expert field-based patient education and support throughout the treatment journey for the Rett community. Responsible for serving as a dedicated point of contact to Rett families for their on-label, clinical education-related questions about disease state and product education. This role will primarily engage with caregivers and families, healthcare professionals (if and when appropriate), and local communities to help patients progress in their healthcare journey. The Family Support Educator will help patients successfully start and stay on therapy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide disease state, product, and ongoing therapy management education upon request, in consumer friendly language to the Rett community, which may include patients, caregivers, and/or other care team members. Caregiver engagement may take place before, during, and after therapy initiation, through various formats, including in-person, telephonic, and/or virtual interactions.
Determine individual needs of patients and caregivers, and serve as an ongoing resource to provide appropriate education and resources accordingly, throughout the various stages of the patient journey.
Collaborates with and provides support for the entire assigned territory, which consists of multiple internal cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Patient Access Team, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and others), and may require coverage of multiple states. Supports and communicates educational opportunities with cross functional partners, as appropriate.
Possess expert knowledge and provide insights to internal stakeholders including, but limited to, training leads, marketing partners, advocacy, medical and leadership, in an effort to develop tools and resources to address educational gaps, enhance disease state education, and therapy management strategies to patient families/caregivers.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of disease state, product, and Acadia Customer Support Programs, such as Hub-related and Patient Assistance Programs, and ambassador speaker programs, etc.
May moderate, lead and present caregiver speaker programs as needed, and attend community events within assigned territory.
Provide in-service to physician offices reactively, to educate about the Family Support Educator role, patient support resources provided to caregivers, pre and post enrollment in the program, and foster a dialogue between caregivers and healthcare providers.
Identify and execute on opportunities to provide leadership within the Family Support Educator team and with cross functional partners.
May provide formal mentorship and/or development opportunities with new Family Support Educator team members, and/or to cross functional colleagues interested in Patient Support Services.
Identify training and development opportunities related to Patient Support Services and the broader organization.
Ensures that all actions, both internally and externally, working on Acadia's behalf are in compliance with all laws, regulations, policies and demonstrates Acadia values.

The Life Enrichment Specialist is a full-time travel position responsible for providing on-site leadership support to Grace Management, Inc. communities by filling open Life Enrichment and Village Program leadership roles on assignment.
