The Bilingual Youth Specialist provides therapeutic support and behavioral intervention to adolescent males in the residential family services division to help manage their daily behaviors. The Bilingual Youth Specialist will assist in safety planning and behavior plans, as well as facilitating groups and implementing the program's behavior management system. In conjunction with other employees, the Bilingual Youth Specialist will help create a safe and caring environment for vulnerable youth in the milieu who are preparing to transition to become more self- sufficient.
The Bilingual youth Specialist acts as a mentor for the youth, assists program employees in providing stabilization of the youth, teaches social skills, and works with the minor on existing behavioral issues with the Mental Health Clinician. The Crisis Intervention Specialist (CIS) assists the 24-Hour Crisis Line volunteer phone workers.
The CIS assists volunteer phone workers in assessing, developing, implementing, and resolving emergent and non-emergent calls.

International SOS is looking for qualified individuals to be New Parent Support Home Visitors for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP.) The FFSP serves active duty members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force plus their eligible family members; active duty members of foreign military services who are stationed in the area; reserve military personnel and their family members when they are eligible for military medical care, military members designated as severely wounded, ill and injured and their identified caretakers and, on a space available basis, military retirees and their family members and widows, eligible family members of military decedents and other groups as directed and authorized by higher authorities in response to special circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate, publicize and provide a wide variety of deployment and mobilization support services.
Expectant parents and parents with children under 3 shall be assessed and screened for child abuse risk, using the established Navy NPS screening tools and procedures.
Parents who are not screened at risk or eligible for NPS home visiting shall be provided information and referral to appropriate military and civilian community resources and services.
Ensure home visitation services use the Nurturing Parenting Program for all at risk parents accepting NPS services.
Report suspected child abuse and domestic abuse/violence to the local civilian authorities and the Family Advocacy Representative IAW Navy and state requirements.
Ensure that home visiting services are fully documented in the in required systems in accordance with current Navy requirements.
Ensure that documented information and referred, assessment, screening, and educational services for parents not at risk are entered and counted in required systems.
Ensure staff delivering services are accounting for all services delivered in the scheduling module in required systems.
New Parent Support Home Visit functions shall require visits to the customers' homes. FAP Case Management and Intervention functions may require home visits per regional or installation SOPs.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Educational qualifications include a minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work or nursing, with a minimum of three years' experience in social work, maternal/child health, child development and/or public health. Nurses are required to maintain current state licensure or certification.
Must have the ability to prepare and conduct management briefings to communicate recommendations to supervisory authority.
Individual should be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
Required Work Experience:
Demonstrated experience providing new parent support home visitor services is required.
The personnel accomplishing these visits shall be mindful that quite often homes are unstable, and multiple problems with more than one caregiver in the house could exist. In some cases, the client and/or other residents can pose a physical threat to the occupants and/or the personnel making the visit. Personnel making these visits, in additional to professional skill requirements, shall possess the maturity and experience to recognize situations that can pose harm, and shall be prepared to mitigate that threat or avoid harmful circumstances in extreme cases.
New parent support home visitors shall possess a broad range of specialized work experience including working with family programs, military or civilian social service agencies, and/or is a military family member with full understanding of the military lifestyle.
Strong oral and written communication, assessment, data management, and advocacy skills are required.
