The Opportunity:

The Day-to-Day:
Portfolio Counselors responsibilities include:

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Case Manager - Family Support is an integral part of the Family Support program of the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, and provides outreach, advocacy and family assistance to residents of Safety Harbor, Oldsmar and Eastern Clearwater. The Case Manager - Family Support works directly with the front-line family support staff, interns, and volunteers to identify and serve clients based on the urgency of their needs. The Case Manager - Family Support carries a full case load of families, individuals, and youth in need of support to achieve their maximum potential, with a focus on the strengths and abilities of parents and use goal-setting to help build their capacity in education, job skills, employment, and financial stability, and to improve long-term family sustainability through coaching to provide a supportive, stable, and encouraging environment. The Case Manager - Family Support is a full-time, non-exempt employee, with a flexible 40-hour work week to include some evenings and occasional weekends as needed.

IV. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Family Assistance
a. Assess the needs of the families enrolled in programs and services offered by the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center
b. Develop specific goal-oriented strategies to address a family's needs
c. Interview clients and process emergency assistance fund requests
d. Maintain accurate files on families and individuals assisted
e. Report activities as required by funder(s)
f. Guide participants in setting a minimum of two goals and meet with them regularly to monitor and encourage progress
g. Advocate strongly on behalf of assisted families with both public and private agencies and businesses
2. Coaching
a. Work with qualified parents for 6 months to 1 year
b. Initiate contact with referred families and actively work to engage families in the program
c. Develop and maintain partnerships with Human Service Agencies
d. Conduct outreach activities and build client case load
e. Maintain participant files with all required documentation
f. Implement a career development program
3. Emergency Response / Affordable Housing
a. Respond quickly to the needs of families impacted by emergency situations including weather events;
b. Prioritize stabilizing families in safe, affordable housing to support healthy outcomes for parents and children, keep children in their registered school if possible, and ensure housing costs are sustainable within the family's budget;
c. Develop emergency response plans to leverage the resources of the Center to include food, housing, financial coaching and assistance, and after-school support where appropriate.
4. Represent MWNFC at community events, educational fairs, coalition meetings, and strategy sessions
5. Other duties as assigned

1. Ability to problem solve and take a strength-based approach with clients to encourage achievement of goals
2. Extensive knowledge and understanding of community resources and referrals

Job Summary
+ Provides approved transportation to clients when requested (drives personal vehicle 90% of the time)
+ Transports children to various appointments and locations during hours indicated on the referral form.

+ Ensure safety of the child during transports.
+ Courier documents to courthouse, agency locations, attorneys or other required areas and obtain signatures of completed deliveries when required.
+ Supervise and document parent/child/ visitation. Provide a written summary of the visit to the assigned case manager supervisor within 48 hrs of the visit. Immediately report any child safety concerns to the supervisor.
+ Maintain mileage log and documentation reports in a timely manner to receive authorized travel reimbursement for services provided.
+ Assist in file maintenance when requested, this will include preparing documents to be filed in the physical case file.
+ Must be able to lift, carry, and move a 25 lb child in a car seat
Required Qualifications
Education: High School diploma/GED
Experience: up to 2 years' experience with transportation; 1-2 years in a childcare field

**REQUIREMENTS:**

What you will do:
This position performs advanced family finding program efforts to discover, engage, plan, make decisions, and evaluate strategies to locate relatives and fictive kin. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing assistance with the completion of home study assessments on identified potential placements and engaging with the Judicial system, as appropriate, to support placement changes. The position will be working mostly in the southern counties of the Suncoast region - Manatee, DeSoto and Sarasota Counties.
Incumbent will:
Conducts extensive/advanced searches, such as case mining, mobility mapping, internet searches and cold calls, to locate adult relatives and fictive kin. Conducts home study assessments on identified potential placements and provides a recommendation the primary worker on placement consideration.
Collaborate with the child protective investigator to identify and build positive connections between the child and the child's relatives and fictive kin.

Engages with the Judiciary and Children's Legal Services/State Attorney's Office, as appropriate, the support placement changes

What you are expected to know:
Knowledge in Florida's Practice Model and Florida's official electronic system of record, Florida Safe Family Network (FSFN). •Leading the St. Andrew's Sunday children's ministry i.e. leading achildren's group(s) and recruiting and overseeing a team ofvolunteers to assist in that ministry. Training volunteers and organisingrotas.
•Co-leading all-age worship one Sunday per month as part of an all-age worship team.
•Leading St. Andrew's toddler group on a weekly basis.
Community Outreach:
•Organising and leading seasonal family outreach events (for the benefit of church families and as outreach to the local community)e.g. light party, Christingle service, Pancake party, Easter celebration, summer party.
•Pastoral support of families within the church and those connected with the church through outreach events and toddler ministry.
•Developing ways to reach out to the families and children in the local community.
•Encouraging links with the local primary school.
Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment:
•Working with the Parish Safeguarding Officer as the safeguardinglead and main contact person at St. Andrew's Church, ensuringimplementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
•Ensuring safer recruitment processes are followed in relation to all recruitment and ongoing support of those volunteers working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Reporting:
•Attending, as necessary, St. Andrew's committee meetings and producing (as necessary) written and verbal reports giving a strategic overview of children and families work. Attending and providing an annual written report for the AGM.
**Skills & Experience**
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a genuine sense of calling and commitment to Children's Ministry ideally, while not necessary, through experience in a current or recent ministry position. Key skills include the following:
•Good organisational skills and time management
•The ability to plan and organise events, including therecruitment and use of volunteers
•Good interpersonal skills
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Strong ability to communicate using various electronic formsof communication, including social media
•Clear understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment procedures and processes.

Remuneration and Hours of Work
•Salary £12,000 - £14,400 per annum (FTE £25000-£30000), depending on qualifications and experience.
•18 hours per week. Flexibility in the timing of working hours will be needed as some evening work is anticipated. NB Sundays will form part of the contracted hours.
•The successful candidate will be entitled to join the PCC's shareholder pension scheme (non-contributory, 10% employer contribution).
•This post is subject to a six-month probationary period.
Holiday:
•The successful candidate will be entitled to 108 Hours (FTE 30 full days) paid holiday (in addition to public holidays)each year.
•The holiday year runs from January to December.

The Opportunity:

The Day-to-Day:
Portfolio Counselors responsibilities include:

Align our portfolio strategy with clients' goals

Your Qualifications:
3+ years experience working in financial services
Hold Series 65 license or required upon hire
Understanding of capital markets and investment products
Manage complexity in a high volume environment
