The Role
The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, and managing intercompany activity while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This role partners closely with finance and business teams to analyze variances, support audits, drive process improvements, and deliver accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
Working through the preparation and recording of required journal entries for certain entities/processes including daily transactions focused on intercompany activity.
Maintain balance sheet support schedules and reconciliations monthly for assigned verticals.
Analyze results and variances between intercompany accounts.
Prepare intercompany settlements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Assist with coordination of external audit support.
Partner and collaborate with peers and business partners to increase operational efficiencies, lead process improvement and alignment within the accounting and finance organization.
Acquire a deep understanding of the business processes related to assigned area/function (including general ledger accounts and transaction flow).
Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements if needed.
Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses and special projects requested by management.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
1+ years practical accounting experience
Ability to handle multiple tasks and stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment is a must
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

Job Description:
This role is requiring the oversight of multiple client service teams and the proven ability to plan, direct, execute and complete tax projects and compliance efforts across a variety of industries. This Senior Manager is a critical member of the local tax office team, providing thought leadership to the partner group while actively developing and mentoring staff and managers.
Responsibilities include:
Will economically and efficiently manage projects including billing and accounts receivable responsibilities
Conduct review of federal and state income tax returns for corporate, S corp., partnership and individual clients
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients; perform research and prepare/review technical tax memorandum
Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed
Manage, develop, and mentor staff/managers on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback
Qualifications:
BS in Accounting required, Masters in Taxation or LLM is a plus
CPA required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend
Working with the tax team to identify and resolve client issues
Anticipating and addressing client concerns and resolving problems as they arise
Successful engagement and client management skills, and experience with growing client relationships
Possess effective writing, communication and tax research skills
Sub C and Provision experience Sub K experience preferred
Strong leadership and mentorship experience

About the Role

Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and support filing of indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
Monitor and analyse economic and physical nexus rules in the U.S. and internationally.
Maintain indirect tax registrations, exemptions, resale certificates, and taxability matrices.
Support indirect tax calculations, reconciliations, and reporting within ERP and tax engines.
Partner with finance, product, sales and operations teams to ensure accurate tax treatment on transactions.
Assist with indirect tax audits, notices, and authority inquiries.
Support expansion into new states and countries by identifying indirect tax obligations and risks.
Improve and document indirect tax processes, controls, and automation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field
3-5+ years of indirect tax experience (sales tax, VAT, GST/HST)
Strong understanding of U.S. sales/use tax and international VAT/GST frameworks
CPA/similar certification preferred or relatable experience
Knowledge of customs duties and cross-border transaction flows
Exposure to international expansion and global compliance projects
Experience with multi-state and cross-border e-commerce transactions
Ability to manage multiple filings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
