1984

1984 – His Majesty the Emperor visited the FANUC Fuji Complex on July 11

1984 - Upon completion of the new Head Office, the CNC Factory, the Injection Molding Machine Factory and the Basic Research Laboratory at the foot of Mt.

1985

1985 - With an increase in NC equipped machine tools, the demand for low cost CNCs expanded.

1986

In 1986, GE Fanuc Automation North America, Inc. was established through a joint partnership between FANUC and General Electric.

1987

The Asian company was established in 1987.

In 1987, it tightened its grip on the United States market by entering into a joint venture with another pillar of United States industry, General Electric (GE). The two companies formed GE Fanuc Automation to manufacture computerized numerical control (CNC) devices.

1988

1988 – The Laboratory for Product Development was established in the Headquarters area and moved from Hino, Tokyo.

In 1988 Fanuc once again joined forces with General Motors, this time to form GMFanuc Robotics Europa, to market robots in Europe.

1989

1989 – The Tsukuba Factory got constructed

1990

1990 – His Majesty the Emperor presented Doctor S. Inaba with a Blue Ribbon Medal

1991

1991 – A memorial was built to commemorate Emperor Showa’s visit to FANUC (it was called Akebono-Kan for its saya-do or “building to enclose it”).

1992

1992 – Doctor S. Inaba was appointed as an international member of the National Academy of Engineering of the United States.

1992 - FANUC Robot School was established.

1993

1993 – On 20 April, FANUC was visited by His Royal Highness Crown Prince of Luxembourg

1994

To maintain Fanuc's dominant position in automation technology in the face of the industry slump, Inaba determined to further bolster Fanuc's R&D. In 1994 the Fanuc Berkeley Laboratory was established in Union City, California.

1995

1995 - An intelligent mini-robot assembly was automated by a production prototype.

1996

1996 – The Honorable Dato’s Seri Doctor Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia’s prime minister, visited headquarters at FANUC on 16 May.

1999

1999 – Their Majesties the Emperor and the Empress of Japan visited FANUC with the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, their Royal Highness on April 8.

2000

2000 – Sheet Metal Factory and Nature Hall was created.

2001

2001 – The new Roboshot Factory and the Cooking Centre got completed.

Forbes magazine select FANUC Corporation for the top 100 World's Most Innovative Companies list Thompson Reuters names FANUC Corporation a 2001 Top 100 Global Innovator

2008

2008 – FANUC SWITZERLAND SERVICE GmbH, FANUC Rome bath, and CNC Factory was completed

2009

2009 – The partnership was settled with General Electric Company was solved, and the FA activities of the joint venture in the Americas were moved to FANUC America.

2009 - Production of Genkotsu Robots, which are parallel linked, started.

2016

2016- ROBOSHOT volume reached 50,000 units, CNC volume reached 3,600,000 units, and the Mibu Factory was constructed.
