    JOB FUNCTION: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities and equipment. Responsibilities • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently. • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. • Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, forklifts, hand tools, and power tools. • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams. • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to perform repairs and fabrication. • Know and understand all facets of Viserion's safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices and has the ability to notify operations of safety alarms. • Responsible for properly and accurately recording all applicable documentation. Qualifications A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Two- four (2-4) years of maintenance experience is preferred. Skills Basic written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment. Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment. Physical Requirments Regularly walk, bend and stoop. Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment. Regularly climbs stairs and ladders. Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds. Regularly enters and works in confined spaces. The pay range for this position is $25-35/hr.
