Our Farm Equipment Operator safely operates various types of farm equipment such as 300 - 600 horsepower tractors, Western Star Bulk Trucks, Semi's and Spudnik conveyors. Duties include general maintenance when not operating equipment and whatever it takes to get the job done using teamwork. In this role, you will primarily be running a spreader and operating a rogator with precision ag controls including John Deere.
This is a full-time day shift role, with some later evening hours required during planting and harvest seasons.
Typical winter hours are 4 -10 hour days, Monday through Thursday depending on your position.
Bancroft, WI is an approximate 20-30 minute drive from the Stevens Point/Plover, Wautoma, Waupaca & Wisconsin Rapids areas.

Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Active Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Experience troubleshooting and making minor equipment repairs and adjustments
Basic math and reading skills to follow color coded product instructions to determine the amount of product needed and used
Experience with various types of farm equipment preferred
Ability to navigate technology such as an I-Pad and Smart Phone
Positive minded with a unique ability to adapt to changing plans/duties of crop farming

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & Supervision

Train and mentor field technicians in equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.
Equipment & Process Oversight

Troubleshoot equipment issues on -site to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.

Conduct routine inspections and implement corrective actions where needed.
Ensure crews are trained and equipped with proper PPE and follow all safety protocols.
Client & Team Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during field projects.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in mechanical, agricultural, or industrial technology preferred.
5+ years of experience in dairy farm or agricultural manufacturing equipment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
Strong understanding of dairy farm equipment systems and agricultural processing equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

+ Transports food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles as indicated to ensure food or supplies arrive safely and intact.
+ Follows HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
+ Reports needed maintenance or repairs of equipment used to proper resources.
+ Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
+ Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per MSDS sheets. Utilizes equipment in performing job functions according to department safety procedures.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

🌾Farm Equipment Operator
This role is responsible for safely applying crop nutrients and crop protection products to customer fields, while also helping with day-to-day operations at the facility and grain elevator. The person in this position plays a key role in supporting growers, maintaining equipment, and keeping the location running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Safely blend, load, and apply fertilizers, ag-lime, and crop protection products according to application recommendations
Assist with routine service work on trucks, sprayers, loaders, and other location equipment (oil, filters, lubrication, cleaning, etc.)
Help keep buildings, grounds, and equipment clean, organized, and presentable
Load and unload grain from trucks and rail cars while ensuring systems are set correctly to minimize shrink and loss
Follow all company and regulatory guidelines involving safety, training, and environmental compliance
Work cooperatively with team members and assist with other duties as needed
What We're Looking For
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Prior custom application or related ag experience is helpful - willing to train the right person
Basic mechanical or maintenance ability preferred
Ability to obtain a CDL with applicable endorsements and maintain a valid DOT physical
Willingness to work seasonal overtime and occasional weekends
Physically able to bend, climb ladders, shovel, lift up to 50 lbs, operate valves, and work in confined spaces
Comfortable operating forklifts, loaders, and other facility equipment (or willing to learn)
