The Extra Hand/ Laborer is a full-time position with the potential to work 12 hours shifts. The Valdosta Mill is a 24-hour operation; candidates must be able to work any assigned rotating shifts and be available on short notice of overtime. Assist department-wide where needed with general utility and physical labor functions. Assistance may include but not limited to, utility services including moving, spotting and operating equipment, clean up, wash up, unplugging chutes, turning valves and making storeroom supply runs, etc. Position Requirements PCA's paper mills operate on a continuous basis - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Candidates for this position must be able to occasionally work long hours and all shifts. During annual outages - typically two (2) times per year for a duration of seven (7) consecutive days - and during unscheduled shutdowns, all employees are scheduled to work 12-hour shifts.
