Washing floats (buggy) is accomplished by removing hatcher trays from the float, over turning the float to remove debris and rinsing with high pressure hose. The separator is sanitized using a foaming system with sodium hypochlorite and then rinsed with a high pressure hose. Sanitizing the hatcher requires removing fans from the inside of the hatcher, sweeping the floor to remove excess debris, then foaming with sodium hypochlorite and rinsing with a high pressure hose. Setting requires team members to place eggs into the incubators by lifting 10 pound egg trays and placing them into stacked buggies, the eggs are placed from floor level to shoulder level. When transferring eggs, buggies on casters loaded with eggs are pushed to the vaccination table, each individual tray is placed on the table, and then placed back onto the buggy which is then rolled to the hatcher. The team member loads chicks onto the belt by removing chick trays from buggy and placing tray onto conveyor.
