A Day in the Life:

We will assist with projects around the farm as needed and generally be available to the larger agritourism operation as needed (i.e., hay wagon rides, lawn and garden care, etc.). We are seeking farm hands for the main farming season from August to November with the potential to extend the role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily livestock chores for small groups of animals
Help with planting, pruning, irrigating, fertilizing, and cultivating of apple trees and grape vines
Assist with a 1/2 acre market garden; weeding, harvesting, cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, etc.
Assist with some observation bee hives
Work with the larger agritourism operation on select days when extra hands are needed (i.e., hayrides, facilities care, unloading produce, maintaining food displays, etc.)
Help with cultivating, planting, and harvesting of u-pick pumpkins and flowers and a crop maze
Assist with fence and irrigation system building and maintenance
Work with the team on other crops or agricultural ventures should they arise during the season.

Essential Duties
Procedures & Tasks
This position will perform a variety of objectives within the cannabis cultivation throughout the life cycle of the plant. This position is expected to adapt to a variety of objectives, such as, cloning from Mom plants, harvesting plants, scanning and organizing METRC plant tags, performing farming actions throughout the life cycle, trellis and spread plants, and transferring large groupings of plants from Veg to Flower stage.
This position is expected to perform tasks in a timely manner, accurately, safely, and compliant. This position will be responsible for participating in their role throughout the scheduled shift, consistently.
Responsible for supporting the Lead of Farm and Supervisor of Production with guiding and training staff to do basic farm tasks. Supporting the perpetual cannabis production workflow.
Use company logs and reporting software to input data for the Farm department
Cleaning and maintaining all areas, equipment, and material throughout the cultivation.
Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work, such as, Production dept tasks, Post Harvest dept tasks, cleaning, and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.
Training Requirements
This position will follow the direction and training by the Lead of Farm and Supervisor of Production assigned to the Buckeye Lake, OH cultivation facility. The role is expected to engage in proactive participation to be able to achieve the high standard cultivation practices, consistently and compliant.

Understanding how to compliantly operate within the cultivation based on the state laws and regulations.
Workspace and Material Maintenance
This position is responsible for the upkeep of the cannabis cultivation, and reporting of malfunctions within the cultivation area.
This position is responsible for utilizing equipment and supplies provided by leadership properly, as trained. This position must report to leadership when the equipment operating with is malfunctioning.
Responsible for sanitizing, cleaning, and maintaining of cultivation equipment and cultivation area as instructed.
Direct the communication and reporting of plant health issue concerns with the Lead of Farm and Supervisor of Farm for proper awareness of organization and analysis.
Compliance and Reporting
Take instruction from Farm leadership towards upholding current laws and regulations for the cultivation facility. Adapt to updated laws and regulations to implement safe and effective practices to sustain highest quality standards and efficiencies.
Support the organizing and securing of all METRC tags and harvest batches.
Take instruction from leadership with updating and tracking all required information in the Farm department logs and spreadsheets daily.
Any compliance or safety mistake or error created must be addressed, reported, and resolved. Communication with appropriate leadership to ensure resolution.
Supervision
Works under the direct supervision of the Lead of Farm and Supervisor of Production.
This person will be asked to guide and train Farmers in the department to assist and support the Lead of Farm and Supervisor of Production, but they will not be asked to discipline Farmers or associates.
This position is expected to follow and obey the company policies.
Working Conditions
Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

A genuine desire to learn and innovate in farming techniques is fundamental, along with an eagerness to test new ideas and build upon both successes and failures. Knowledge of vegetable and horticultural concepts preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft programs will be necessary to maintain detailed records and report on farm activities.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, and candidates must have a valid Driver's License.
Job Conditions
This position is based in an urban farm setting and requires a person to work outside in all weather conditions performing manual labor. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and lifting required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Daily physical field work includes greenhouse seeding, planting, row-covering, fertilizing, weeding, harvesting, washing, and packing of produce.

Qualifications
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
At least one year of sales, account management, business development, and/or marketing experience is preferred
Experience in owning or managing a business is a plus
