You will gain hands-on experience operating and managing greenhouse equipment, utilizing various growing systems, and assisting in the installation and maintenance of essential farm infrastructure. Daily activities will include meticulous record keeping, the safe use of hand and power tools, and conducting quality control checks on produce prior to distribution. Additionally, you will collaborate on special projects with Farm Managers and external partners, contributing to an environment that promotes continuous improvement and adherence to updated standard operating procedures. To excel in the Farm Mentorship Program at Mid-Ohio Food Collective, candidates must possess a diverse skill set and a strong commitment to learning. Excellent verbal communication skills are crucial for following and providing clear directions among team members. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and candidates must have a valid Driver's License. Job Conditions This position is based in an urban farm setting and requires a person to work outside in all weather conditions performing manual labor. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and lifting required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
