Key ResponsibilitiesFarm Activities & Operations:
Safely operates heavy farm machinery and a wide variety of tools.
Constructs and maintains the habitat for cattle including grazing fields and barns.

Monitors cattle health, diagnoses disease or injuries and attends to minor health issues.
Assist with calving as needed and all reproductive activities including A.I., Embryo Transfer and heat detection. Assist with calving and all reproductive activities as needed.
Develops cattle rations using snack food by products from the Herr Foods manufacturing plant that results in the desired performance. Ability to read and understand feed rations and properly mix feed on a daily basis.
Assists in all farming and haying activities.

Helps operate spray irrigation equipment.
Leverages creativity and problem-solving skills to deal with situations that arise on the farm on a daily basis.

Works with the rest of the farm team to promote and sell Herr Angus cattle and beef.
