Position Summary:
This position is engaged in the activities of catching, identification, and movement of birds during flock housing, pullet and spent hen removal, toe/beak trimming, flock vaccinations, house cleanout & setup, sanitation, mortality disposal, and yard maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Rotate tasks of catching birds to hold for vaccination and performing vaccination on birds (20%)
Rotate tasks of housing: Catch birds and scan wing band for identification and place in pen to be badged (use animal tag pliers to attach badge to wing web), pen not badged, or trailer as instructed; catch birds in trailer and place in house, catch and rescan birds for identification and place in pen or cage as instructed. Continue process until all birds are housed. (20%)
Use wire cutters to remove wing and leg bands and badges from hens prior to live haul, catch spent hens and load into trailer for transport to live haul bay for catching and placing into modules, safely use forklift to remove empty modules from live haul trailer and load filled modules onto trailer, catch birds and operate trimmer by stepping on pedal to trim toenails and/or beaks, catch and properly euthanize pedigree birds and transport to incinerator and load incinerator for disposal (20%)

Qualifications
Required:
Class A or B CDL (or ability to obtain) with a clean driving record
Ability to obtain commercial applicator's license (company will assist with training and certification)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work extended hours during peak seasons
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred:
Prior experience in custom application, agronomy operations, or farm equipment operation
Knowledge of precision ag technology, field mapping, and GPS equipment

Primary Role
Participates in the investigation, construction, replacement, and repair of various types and sizes of water pipe and appurtenances that are or become a part of the Transmission (T) and Distribution (D) system.
Participates in the general operation, construction, and maintenance of the T&D system, which involves providing assistance or performing the installation, laying, or joining together of all sizes and types of pipelines and mains, fittings, valves, pumps, and other appurtenances.
Makes or assists in making all types of pipeline connections or joints and assists in making welded type joints.
Key Accountabilities
Installs, operates, and maintains all types and sizes of pipe or main and appurtenances. Makes taps. Performs fire hydrant flow test. Investigates leaks, does leak surveys, and tests for turbidity and chlorine. Removes and sets water meters.
Uses various hand tools and other types of equipment necessary for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the T&D system. Mixes and pours concrete, repairs damage to roads caused by excavations or escaping water from main breaks and leaks. Performs miscellaneous building care and routine maintenance at any company building or property.
Assists with material storage and storehouse duties. Fills out necessary job report forms, as required. Operates communication equipment. Collects water samples and delivers to the laboratory.
Operates all types of vehicles including those requiring a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a tanker endorsement. Keeps vehicles clean and assists in keeping the vehicles in good work order. Cleans tools and equipment as necessary. Loads and delivers all types of construction and maintenance materials to work locations. Unloads freight cars and vendors' trucks.
Maintains storeyards and materials in an orderly fashion. Renovates salvaged materials. If a vehicle is assigned, ensures that the vehicle is kept stocked with necessary materials, tools, and equipment. Keeps vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and secure. Makes or assists in making measurements on the job. Adheres to OSHA standards, other applicable regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Summary: Primary responsibilities will consist of loading and unloading pumps, hoses, and other pump-related accessories on and off Cogent delivery trucks and third-party freight carriers, as well as working with our rental field install teams to assist in delivery, installation, teardown, and pick up of customer jobs. You will also maintain a clean and orderly rental equipment yard to enable the safe and efficient movement of motorized loading equipment. Training and support will be provided to you in performing the aforementioned responsibilities. Responsibilities:
Identify and pull hose, pipe, fittings and pumps to fulfill service, rental and sales contracts.
Utilize motorized equipment handling machinery to safely load equipment on and off trucks and trailers.
Assist in securing load utilizing straps and chains.
Ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris and trash; accessories and equipment are organized and easy to access.
Follow all safety processes and procedures and maintain a Safety-First approach when completing daily work tasks.
Travels locally as needed to assist with mobilization/demobilization of pump systems on customer job sites.
Assists in connecting pipelines, setting pumps, and dismantling applications when the project is complete.
All other duties relevant to field service work as assigned.

Aviagen is looking for a Farm Maintenance position for our operations and is responsible for keeping facilities operating efficiently, repairing any problems when they are found, and performing preventive on buildings, structures and grounds as needed.
Job Description:
Perform basic mechanical repairs at our buildings including plumbing, lighting, heating, air conditioning, etc.
Check, install, and repair equipment, which includes, chain feed systems, line auger feed systems, Rotem controllers, watering systems, ventilation systems, generators, wells and septic systems.
Other duties include: repairing wooden structures, working with chicken wire, replacing electrical and plumbing fixtures, cutting Plexiglas to fit aluminum frames, routine maintenance on buildings, greasing equipment, checking to ensure equipment is operating properly and repairing if needed, working with PVC waterline and fittings, installing cat6 wiring
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, flooring, masonry, electrical, welding, roofing, machinery, mechanics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
Must be able to use basic hand tools.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow task specific instructions, such as Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
Must have own tools including a basic socket set, wrenches, skill saw, grinder, drill, sawzall, volt meter, level, and tape measure.
Must be a team player with strong verbal skills and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
A person in this position is expected to walk/stand for extended periods.
Ability to use measuring tools and measure precisely for cutting with power and/or hand tools.
Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain, such as rough ground and floors with shavings.
Frequently carry/lift objects and equipment weighting up to 40 lbs., including lumber and metal building materials
Ability to perform repetitive tasks that require hand/wrist dexterity.
Ability to work from aerial lift w/fall restraint system at around 20 ft.
Must be able to safely pick up materials stored at ground level.
Must be able to apply 50 lbs. of force to push carts.
Must be able to frequently kneel/squat
Must be capable of performing tasks squatting at floor level or on knees.
Must be able to conduct repetitive tasks.
Must be able to use both fixed and portable ladders (step and/or extension ladders).
Utilize a variety of tools, including, but not limited to, drills, hammers, saws, metal grinders, blowtorches, and welders. Tools used mainly consist of power tools, but some hand tools are also used.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for identified tasks, such as ear muffs, ear plugs, safety glasses, welding helmets, work gloves, work boots, harness, etc.
Ability to drive maintenance van to and from work sites.
Work Conditions
Exposed at times to airborne particles, such as dust and dander.
Exposed to various noise levels, sometimes exceeding the 85-dBA action level set by OSHA. Proper PPE hearing protection will be provided
Over the course of assigned tasks, a person in this position will be exposed to chemicals, such as detergents, and disinfectants.
May be exposed to very hot temperatures, very cold temperatures, snow, sleet, ice, etc.
