Farmers was founded on February 19, 1887 by a group of local businessmen to serve the needs of the growing community.
The Farmers National Bank of Lebanon had its origin in the office of T.S. Edelen on February 6, 1890, when he and several other citizens decided that Marion County needed another bank.
The doors opened for business on April 1 of 1890 with capital of $50,000.
Founded in 1890, FNB offers a variety of deposit and loan products for consumers and businesses.

The Farmers National Bank was established September 20th, 1917 by Asher B. Wilson, E. A. Milner and Cashier C. M. Slocum.
The bank was housed in rented quarters on Main Street and it was not until 1917 that the property was purchased by the bank.
In April 1918 J.C. Hamilton joined the bank as cashier and with his firm belief in the Magic Valley, proceeded to procure the majority of bank stock within the next year.
J.C. ‘s son, J.P. (Pat) Hamilton, started working for the bank in 1946.
In 1959, Farmers National Bank provided the first drive-in facility on Walnut Street.
Total assets had grown to over $6 million! Plans were initiated for construction of a new building which was occupied for the first time in 1966.
In 1966 J.P. Hamilton succeeded his father as President.
A branch office was opened in Hagerman in 1970.
In 1973, the bank reported resources of over $10.7 million and it was decided that a branch bank should be built.
Soon after, in 1973, the Hagerman office was moved to Wendell.
So it was in 1974 that a branch was added in the Lebanon Trade Center in a newly-built structure compatible with the colonial design of the downtown bank.
An automated, 24-hour teller machine was installed in 1978, the first of its kind in the area.
In 1982, young Gene made an offer to purchase controlling interest in the bank, acting as agent for a bank holding company to be formed.
In 1989 a third office was started at 890 Shoshone St in Twin Falls.
August 22, 2005, the Board of Directors of the Farmers National Bank of Lebanon officially elected George B. Spragens Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and President.
In 2005 Mike Hamilton assumed the duties of president for a third generation of family bankers.
Shortly after, in April of 2008, our sixth office was added for your convenience on Pole Line Road in Twin Falls.
December 2, 2012, the bank hosted the grand opening of a newly constructed branch at 2160 Campbellsville Highway in the Wal-Mart shopping center. (The small branch at 760 West Main Street was simultaneously closed.)
Starting in 2014, a fourth generation of Hamilton's joined the family business continuing the tradition laid down by their grandfather and great-grandfather.
In 2015, while celebrating the Bank's 125th anniversary, the lobby of the Main Office was renovated and updated to reflect modern banking needs while staying true to the Bank's traditional roots.
January 1, 2016 Melissa Lee Knight became the bank's tenth president and its first female president.
In 2017, the bank introduced the areas first Interactive Teller Machine.
As of December 31, 2020, bank assets totaled more than 561 million dollars.
