In this role, you will assist Project Managers by completing project design solutions for a wide variety of public and private sector projects. The position provides drawing support using a variety of graphics software and media, learning to prepare construction documents, beginning to learn client relations, and performing routine design tasks and project administrative tasks like writing reports. As an Architectural Associate, you will receive a well-rounded AXP experience for NCARB.
Job Activities:
+ Visit project sites to review and document existing conditions
+ Prepare early schematic presentation design model, illustrations and renderings
+ Assist in preparing detailed drawings for construction representations of architecture designs
+ Collaborate with our BIM/CAD Management Group
Specific Requirements include:
+ Master's Degree in Architecture, preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, required; degree must be from an accredited university
+ 0-2 years of professional experience
+ Experience with SketchUp, Photoshop, and Rhino preferred

Job Activities:
+ Manage client relationships and internal team departments
+ Lead engineering, environmental assessments, surveys, studies, and permits for clients
+ Lead coordination with various project stakeholders including but not limited to client representatives, internal departments (i.e. environmental, survey, civil and electrical engineering), subcontractors, subconsultants, construction contractors, and other team members
+ Manage projects across a wide range of community (1-20 MW) and utility scale (100+ MW) renewable energy projects encompassing solar, wind and battery storage (BESS)
+ Lead observation of construction at field locations to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications - including oversight & training of junior staff.
+ Lead proposal development, including fee estimating, schedules, and writing of proposal letters along with coordination with the proposal team
Specific Requirements include:
+ 5-10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry
+ BS in energy, civil or electrical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution
+ Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus
+ Computer proficiency with MSOffice - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
+ Demonstrated experience in leading/managing renewable energy projects - solar, wind and battery storage projects in particular

Summary/Objective: Responsible for performing and overseeing surveying functions. Performs site surveys, topographic mapping, construction staking, and roadway and boundary surveys for public and private clients.
Essential Functions
Perform topographic surveys and transfer data into a compatible format for plotting using AutoCAD or Microstation
Preparation of base maps for projects
Responsible for preparation of ROW plans
Partners in research of previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys
Maintains accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed
Communicate directly with various staff to ensure that the proper plans and projects are completed according to the required priorities
Communicate with clients and land owners on behalf of the company
Assist with project scope of work definition and estimating surveying hours/fees
Assist in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures for project work
Provide mentorship and training to surveying staff
Exercise judgment in the field regarding safety, operations and technical expertise to meet field conditions
Performs other duties as required by Department Managers
Education/Experience/Skills
B.S. or Associate degree in the surveying field or at least 4 years of experience in the related field
Professional Land Survey Registration is preferred
Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suit, AutoCAD, and Land Development software
Valid driver's license and ability to travel
Ability to use all survey equipment

Job Activities:
* Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities
* Design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software
* Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
* Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff
* Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects
* Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
* Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
* Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel

Lead the close out process internally, including identifying lessons learned to be relayed to staff members.
Assist in the authoring of project descriptions and resumes to be incorporated into marketing materials.
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with team members and clients.
Mentor, train, and provide oversight to staff members.
Create and enforce the application of TERRA standards and guidelines.
Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and candidate selection process.
You Have:
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or related fields
8-12 years of Civil engineering or Site Development experience
a Professional Engineer (PE) License in Illinois (required)
