In this role, you will work with experienced engineers for a variety of clients in the semiconductor and industrial markets. Posting Location for this role: Phoenix, AZ Job Activities: Engineering design of process water, wastewater, gas and chemical systems Engineering calculations Modeling (hydraulic modeling, piping, or HVAC systems sizing, etc.) CAD/BIM support Preparation of construction documents Engineering support during construction, including field observation and special inspections Specific Requirements include: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, required A solid understanding of thermodynamic, fluid flow, and mass balance principles. As a licensed design professional, you will direct non-licensed and other professionals assigned to design, produce, and coordinate the design process and technical documents. You will attend project and client meetings acting as the representative of Shive-Hattery A thorough understanding of architectural specifications, local, state, and federal building codes, life safety codes, and current ADA requirements is required. Candidates should be adept at designing with a strong understanding of building systems and have experience in designing projects of varying scale and complexity within the federal and civic sectors. As a self-motivated individual, the candidate excels in independent problem-solving and possesses excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, SpecLink, and Microsoft Office is necessary. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Google SketchUp and the Adobe Suite is beneficial. In this office-based role, the Survey Technician works primarily as an entry-level technician, using standard techniques and various drawing and CAD platforms in the drafting and preparation of boundary and mapping projects for transportation, energy, land development, oil & gas, and construction-related projects. Posting Location for this role: Peoria, IL Job Activities: Assists in the preparation of surveying drawings as assigned. Prepares basic detailed drawings from field data and field sketches using computer-aided drafting software platforms Completes redlines, drawing modifications and basic calculations with specific instructions Adheres to company and client standard CAD procedures for data processing, formatting, and producing drawings and sheet layouts Maintains schedules and communicates progress on a daily basis.
