Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects. Posting Locations for this role: Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; or St. Louis, MO Job Activities:
Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities
Design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software
Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff
Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects
Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel
Specific Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
4+ years of engineering experience
Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
Experience in utility relocation design, utility coordination, or roadway design
Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills
Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently
Desired Skills:
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or 2+years of project management experience
Experience on telecommunications relocation projects
Experience submitting and tracking permits (DOT, municipal, USACE, etc.) for utility projects

THE ROLE
The Project Manager will lead the planning, designing, permitting, assisting, funding, bidding, and performing of construction administration as it relates to civil engineering water and wastewater infrastructure work. POSITION
In this role, the Process Engineer will be responsible for consulting with clients on process optimization needs and designing process improvements as they relate to mining, water treatment, and oil and gas projects. THE ROLE
The Civil Site-Development Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for the engineering design and construction oversight of site-specific infrastructure projects such as residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments. It will be the primary responsibility to take the overall site development plan and translate it into detailed engineering drawings needed for construction. Assess the suitability of the site for development.

Oversee the development engineering design process from conception to completion.
Develop cost estimates and prepare and manage budgets.
Provide construction administration services during the construction phase of the project.

THE ROLE
The Civil Highway Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for leading and growing a local transportation market group to help expand our local service offerings to transportation clients. The Engineering Project Manager will champion and lead teams in the designing of federal highway projects for DOT clients. THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a civil engineering professional who would like to start, develop, and lead a water/wastewater group and expand our Spokane, WA market services. The Project Manager will lead the planning, designing, permitting, assisting, funding, bidding, and performing of construction administration as it relates to civil engineering water and wastewater infrastructure work. Additionally, the Project Manager will work closely with the client to understand the scope of projects, resolve issues, and provide routine updates on project progress. Project work focuses on water intake, treatment, pumping, storage and distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment. These responsibilities include:
Establish and grow a water/waster group.
Pursues business development opportunities to grow and expand market services.
Prepares plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
Leverage engineering design software to edit project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.
Leads and completes engineering design projects from start to finish.
Meets with client board members and provides monthly progress reporting.
Monitors construction progress and provides construction support and on-site observation.
Lead and manage construction administration tasks, including submittal and Request For Information (RFI) review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite construction project representative staff.
Analyze water/wastewater facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.
Assist the Senior Manager in engaging with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.

YOUR STRENGTHS
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program
Minimum of 4+ years of civil engineering design and construction experience. Water/wastewater engineering experience preferred.
At least 2+ years of project management experience leading teams, design, construction, client services, and budgets.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or able to obtain after-hire
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in conjunction with engineering licensure preferred
Engineering design software experience in Civil 3D or similar
Experienced with hydraulic modeling software or similar
Knowledge of engineering planning studies
Strong communication, both verbal and written

THE ROLE
The Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for creating and leading a local aviation civil engineering group to help expand our service offerings to aviation clients in the region. POSITION
The Site-Civil Engineer will be responsible for the engineering design and construction oversite of site-specific infrastructure projects such as residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments. It will be the primary responsibility to take the overall site development plan and translate it into detailed engineering drawings needed for construction. During the construction phase, the engineer will provide oversight and support the implementation of the plans. These responsibilities include:

Manage project tasks including technical report writing and coordination with multidisciplinary team, architects, and clients.
Assess the suitability of the site for development.
Design and plan necessary infrastructure such as roads, utilities, drainage systems, and grading.
Navigate regulatory requirements and obtain necessary permitting to meet project requirements.
Oversee the development engineering design process from conception to completion.
Develop cost estimates and prepare and manage budgets.
Provide construction administration services during the construction phase of the project.

THE ROLE

THE ROLE
The Project Manager will lead the planning, designing, permitting, assisting, funding, bidding, and performing of construction administration as it relates to civil engineering water and wastewater infrastructure work. Additionally, the Project Manager will work closely with the client to understand the scope of projects, resolve issues, and provide routine updates on project progress. Prepares plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
Leverage engineering design software to edit project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.

Meets with client board members and provides monthly progress reporting.
Monitors construction progress and provides construction support and on-site observation.
Lead and manage construction administration tasks, including submittal and Request For Information (RFI) review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite construction project representative staff.
Analyze water/wastewater facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineer - Utilities in one of the below posting locations. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.
Posting Locations for this role: Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; or St. Louis, MO
Job Activities:
* Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities
* Design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software
* Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
* Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff
* Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects
* Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
* Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
* Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel
Specific Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* 4+ years of engineering experience
* Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
* Experience in utility relocation design, utility coordination, or roadway design
* Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills
* Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently
Desired Skills:
* Professional Engineering (PE) license
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or 2+years of project management experience
* Experience on telecommunications relocation projects
* Experience submitting and tracking permits (DOT, municipal, USACE, etc.) for utility projects

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
