Seeking a CivilEngineering Project Manager to lead municipal water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects-including piping, pumping, collection, distribution, storage, roadway, site development, and construction administration in our local community. THE ROLE The Project Manager will lead the design and delivery of critical municipal water infrastructure that protects public health, supports sustainable growth, and strengthens the resilience of the communities we serve. This role oversees the full project lifecycle-from planning, permitting, funding support, and design through bidding and construction administration-ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and practical, buildable solutions. THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a civilengineering professional who would like to start, develop, and lead a water/wastewater group and expand our Spokane, WA market services. THE ROLE
The Civil Site-Development Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for the engineering design and construction oversight of site-specific infrastructure projects such as residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments. THE ROLE
The CivilEngineering Project Manager will be responsible for creating and leading a local aviation civilengineering group to help expand our local service offerings to aviation clients in the region. Summary/Objective
Performs development-level site civilengineering work requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Receives supervision from experienced engineers on non-routine, complex projects and assignments. Performs moderate engineering tasks for the design and preparation of plans and details and performs design calculations for projects. Works closely with other staff to gain technical knowledge and work efficiency.
Essential Functions
• Develop design concepts, studies, design options, and establish design criteria with the assistance from the project team members or other experienced engineers
• Perform analysis and design calculations, document design procedures, and ensure design complies with applicable codes and standards
• Prepare design documents including schematics, design details, and calculations
• Produce project deliverables using computer-aided engineering software
• Perform research, field investigations, and construction administration duties as assigned
• Assist in reviewing close-out documents and remit to agencies and clients as needed
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with multidisciplinary team members
• Perform other duties as required
Education/Experience
• B.S. in civilengineering or related field (ABET/EAC-accredited program)
• 2+ years of applicable engineering experience
• EIT/FE preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrates ability to successfully engage with professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment, communicates with team members and builds relationships and trust
• Exercises good engineering judgement
• Conveys information through effective and timely verbal and written communication
• Intermediate proficiency with computer-aided design software and other software packages typically associated with engineering required
• Proficient in general documentation software such as Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, etc.
• Effectively applies experience and skills to increasingly complex assignments
• Intermediate public speaking and presentation skills
• Able to conduct site visits as needed, may require a valid driver's license
• Effectively maintains office and field health & safety requirements and protocols
• Maintains a work schedule conducive to team collaboration and project-specific requirements
