Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the VRS Tech provides 24/7 remote monitoring for patients who require a video remote sitter. The VRS Tech identifies any safety issues with the patient or their environment and works with staff to correct. Will perform as a Health Care Technician (HCT) as a support to the licensed nursing staff and perform activities related to the personal care and hygiene needs of an assigned patient group. Facilitates communication with other departments, visitors, patients, medical staff and employees. Serves as a public relations liaison for the unit.
