ALH Building Systems is hiring a reliable Class A CDL Driver at our Markle, Indiana, location. In this role, you'll deliver prefabricated wall panels, floor joists, roof trusses, and various building materials to job sites, ensuring everything arrives safely and on time.
Compensation:
$22 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and safe delivery of prefabricated wall panels, floor trusses, roof trusses, and other building materials to job sites.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain optimal safety standards.
Collaborate with the logistics team to plan efficient routes and schedules, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
Maintain clear and open communication with site managers to coordinate delivery times and address any on-site challenges.
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies, ensuring compliance and safety at all times.
Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads to prevent damage.
Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption to support operational efficiency and reporting needs.
Qualifications:
Experience in operating Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
Ability to conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Proven track record of adhering to DOT regulations and company safety policies.

SUMMARY
The Mixer Driver will drive a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer and deliver concrete mix to job sites, performing the following duties.
Must possess a valid “Class B” CDL license and be able to pass a DOT physical and substance test!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, concrete and water and start mixer.
Drive truck to location for unloading.
Move levers on truck to release ready mixed concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with ready mixed concrete.
Clean truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck.
Spray surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete.
Assemble ready mix concrete chute as required to place cement.
Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fluid levels.
Drive in a safe and courteous manner.
Ability to work alone.
Must have good communication skills.
Must project a professional image to both internal and external customers.
Must follow all DOT rules and regulations.
Must keep paperwork in order.
Must keep equipment clean and in working order
Periodically assist customers with the placing and spreading of ready mixed concrete.
Other duties may be assigned.

SUMMARY

Requirements
Valid truck driving license (Class A CDL is required)
Proven work experience as a truck driver.

Mortenson is currently seeking a Truck Operator that will be responsible for operating trucks as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate the following trucks based on project requirements: Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, Tractor Trailer/Lowboy
Follow prescribed safety regulations
Ensure housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunctions
Follow work plans and pre-task cards
Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Related construction experience preferred
Current driver's license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law

Qualifications:
