The Academy Equipment Associate will work alongside our Sr. Coordinator of Academy Equipment assisting with the equipment needs of our Academy teams at FC Cincinnati. This position will be based out of the Mercy Health Training Center in Milford, Ohio and will report directly to the Sr. Coordinator of Academy Equipment. This is an hourly paid position working an average of 20 hours per week starting in January 2026.
What You'll Do:
Assist the Sr. Coordinator of Academy Equipment in day-to-day responsibilities
Assist academy coaches with set up and preparation of daily training sessions
Manage the daily academy team's laundry operation
Assist in set up for home matches
Attend weekly Soccer Operations meetings
Support in the logistics of game day preparation and execution
Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned

* Operate backpack blower to thoroughly blow/collect all peanut and trash debris from all areas of the ballpark including by not limited to: seating bowl, concourse, parking garage, suite balconies, picnic areas and other areas as assigned.
* Secure and store seat covers and seat cushions in designated areas of the ballpark per supervisor/lead instructions.
* Read and understand cleaning chemical product use instructions.
* Document all unusual or unique occurrences, maintenance, or safety defects and report to a Supervisor, Lead, and/or
* Security Control in a timely manner.
* Detect and report defects in blower equipment to Supervisor and/or Lead.
* Utilize safety equipment while working such as back brace, protective eye wear, and hearing protection as needed to maintain safety standards.
* Promptly monitor all public areas of the ballpark, reporting any matter that requires medical, security, custodial or maintenance personnel using means and methods provided in handbook, in a timely manner, continue to monitor to ensure satisfactory resolution.
* Ability to learn and perform basic equipment maintenance
* Obtain, comprehend and disseminate instructions and vital information especially in the event of emergencies
* All of the above determinations are to be done in conjunction with the Post-Game Supervisor and may be dictated by weather conditions and game/event ending times.

* Conduct daily upkeep of a Major League Baseball field
* Operation and daily maintenance of all equipment related to field maintenance
* Maintenance of all batting cages, field screens, and enclosed hitting tunnels
* Daily cleaning of field, dugouts, bullpens, maintenance shop, and all equipment
* Perform all pre and post-game field preparations
* Safely operate light tractors, power mowers, and small gasoline-powered machinery
* Handle trucks, flatbeds, water trucks, or basic single-chassis equipment in a safe manner
* Operate tools such as edge trimmers, sprayers, sod cutters, line markers, and various hand tools safely
* Performs routine maintenance on all equipment
* Transport field-related equipment to and from the field as needed
* Contribute to the pulling on and off of field tarps when required
* Performs all other job duties as required by Supervisor
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Prior experience in the upkeep of natural grass athletic fields preferred, but not required
* Previous experience in operating trucks, tractors, and other gasoline-powered equipment preferred, but not required
* Possession of a valid Ohio Driver's License
* Capability to engage in light to heavy physical activity and work in adverse weather conditions
* Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
