Position Summary:
The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle, and providing prompt and complete collection services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs complete pre and post operation inspection of a commercial vehicle in accordance with FCC policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels; safety equipment, gauges, etc. are in proper working order
Safely operates commercial vehicles on assigned routes to include highways, residential communities, and alleyways

Responsible for adhering to and upholding all safety policies and procedures
Experience and Competencies:
High School diploma or GED
Class B commercial driver's license

Loads and unloads truck by using hydraulic powered lifts

Uses radio to effectively communicate with other drivers and personnel
Maintains proper housekeeping by keeping assigned vehicle clean and tidy, both inside and out - including blowing out air filters for vehicle and AC units
Maintain daily logs
Pick up fallen debris on all transportation lanes or notify Supervisor or Manager if not feasible to do so
Operate equipment in a safe manner by understanding and obeying all Federal, State and Local traffic rules and regulations
