Start your career with FCC and become part of our global team of passionate waste industry professionals Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport demolition & MSW materials from storage to load staged roll off containers. Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Operates skid steer loader with multiple attachments and would perform multiple exchanges to facilitate different processes. Perform lot cleaning by removing debris manually and with equipment. Perform snow removal with each snow event along with salting and sanding to ensure a safe work environment. Direct customers to the proper location by material for offloading. Assist customers with unloading material when needed. Communicates with subcontractor to schedule delivery of material to disposal location. Perform facility and stormwater inspections with site manager. Education HS Diploma/G.E.D. Experience and Competencies Position requires the ability to work with both internal and external customers and provide outstanding customer service. Position requires effective communication skills. Receives instruction and trains in use of various equipment, as time and workload permits. Inspects work areas prior to beginning work, and ensures safety of work sites and practices. Maintains logs and records of maintenance and repair work performed. Completes and signs work orders for completed assignments. Performs data entry to input pertinent information into the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Performs routine maintenance to include the daily cleaning of the truck and all equipment. Performs minor maintenance and related care of equipment. Responsible for directing traffic around construction sites and ensuring proper signage is displayed. Must be prepared to assist drivers and pedestrians with route directions when asked. When assigned to Utilities: Performs skilled work installing, maintaining and repairing water and sewer lines and associated fixtures.     Job Description This is responsible work driving heavy-duty trucks and operating construction/maintenance equipment. Nature of Work: Employees in this class are responsible for performing tasks of average difficulty involving the safe operation of large trucks on public streets and highways. Employees are also required to operate diverse, moderately complex motorized construction/maintenance equipment. Under immediate supervision, employees are required to exercise some initiative and independent judgment in completing assigned tasks. Tasks at times are performed under hazardous conditions and employees are expected to be particularly alert and careful whenever operating the assigned vehicle/equipment. Employees might be required to perform manual and unskilled laboring tasks, using hand and power tools, either separate from or in conjunction with the equipment being operated. Employees might also be required to operate specialty and/or more complex construction/maintenance equipment on a relief basis or in a training capacity and may serve in a lead capacity over lower level laboring personnel.
