A Day in the life of Building Code Project Manager

The Staff Assistant (Forensic Identification) is the agency's general point of contact for incoming calls and inquiries, coordinates the identification process, facilitates decedent releases, obtains, reviews, and processes decedent medical records and documents, and processes cremation and anatomical donation requests.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Forensic Identification Specialist receives incoming telephone calls, faxes, and walk in inquiries from the public, law enforcement agencies, medical facilities, and funeral home staff, triages these calls, documents, and inquiries appropriately, and ensures requests of the ID Unit are handled appropriately, completely and timely. The incumbent receives payments from family members, funeral directors, and others for cremation requests, proof of death forms and other documents, and documents and forwards such payments to the appropriate department within the agency.
Coordinates the decedent identification process. First, the Incumbent contacts the decedent's family members and friends to schedule visual identifications at the agency and to provide information about the identification process; facilitates the visual identifications occurring at the agency and provides assistance to family members and others in completing documentation required for decedent identification.; acts as an official witness as a photograph is presented for identification of the decedent. Provides family members with resources to seek grief counseling and burial assistance. Updates Medicolegal case information following a positive identification. Submits fingerprints to various agencies for identification. Once fingerprint results are received, update the medicolegal case information. Requests alias lists when discrepancies are encountered between the tentative name and the name associated with the fingerprint results.

About the role:

This position is located in the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Homeland Security Branch (HSB), Analytical Services Division, Major Investigations Branch (MIB). It works in direct support of MPD, Investigative Services Bureau (ISB). The primary purpose of the position is to collect, analyze and coordinate a variety of complex intelligence data and prepare comprehensive reports to support ongoing investigations.

The Forensic Scientist Shift Supervisor (Crime Scene Unit) provides first-line supervision, supporting both the administrative and technical functions of the Division. This role is responsible for overseeing the analysis, collection, preservation, and processing of physical and biological evidence within the laboratory. The position involves managing work related to various crime scenes, including violent crimes such as homicides, assaults with deadly weapons, sexual assaults, and robberies, as well as property crimes and traffic fatalities. Evidence types include biological samples and latent fingerprints.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partakes in a structured training program to supervise, plan, and direct subordinate staff, which also includes contracting personnel within the purview of the DFS. Supervision includes the review of work; utilization of employees to accomplish work objectives; monitors quantitative and qualitative measures for evaluating the work performance of staff; formulating overall plans for resources; approves and disapproves leave requests; recommends candidate selections, staff promotions, incentive recognition, and corrective or adverse actions; establishes work standards; and identifies developmental and training needs. Job Description:
Cydecor is looking for a highly experienced Senior Navy Electronics Engineer with experience in electrical/electronic design, specifically focused on shipbuilding and defense systems.
Responsibilities include:
Work will involve developing maintenance and testing procedures for electric and electronic components and equipment.
Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair. Inspect electric and electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
Here's what you need:
15 years professional experience in electrical/electronic design
Bachelor's degree
Interim or Active Secret security clearance
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in electrical/electronic design for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems
Knowledge of DoD or DoN procedures and policies, including the DoD 5000 process
Possession of excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Possession of excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
Master's degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Security Clearance:
Minimum: Interim or Active Secret security clearance; Preferred: Interim or Active Top Secret security clearance.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $176,700.00-$200,200.00. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.

BE A PART OF THE COUNTER ASSAULT TEAM The Secret Service Special Operations Division's Counter Assault Team (CAT) creates a unique tactical career opportunity for special agents within the Office of Protective Operations. Special Agents within this tactical operations assignment possess operational skills that are relevant to the mission of the Special Operations Division. Special Agents assigned to CAT provide tactical support to Secret Service protective details to include high level protectees such as the President and Vice President of the United States of America. CAT members conduct comprehensive mission planning and extensive coordination with support entities to accomplish their mission. CAT personnel receive advance training in weapons handling, tactics, and decision making.

Sign a mobility agreement stating your willingness to accept assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas.
Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular, possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.(Note: Lasik, ALK, RK, and PRK corrective eye surgeries are acceptable eye surgeries for special agent applicants. Applicants will be considered eligible for the special agent position provided specific visual tests are passed. The following are waiting periods for visual tests: Lasik-2 months after surgery, PRK-6 months after surgery, ALK and RK-one year after surgery).
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500,1000 and 2000Hz ranges.
