The company offer many opportunities for career and education growth, but most don't take advantage of those opportunities.
Management, especially ops supervisors may not be as engaged as they should be, or lack the communication and leadership skills to motivate workers towards improved performance.
Let's just say I am currently pursuing my master degree, and FedEx is paying for it.
Even with the many changes the company is experiencing in re-structuring, FedEx does its' best not to lay people off. I find that admirable.
Honestly, in my experience, FedEx has a great culture that is diverse and inclusive. However, if you did not enter as a package handler or courier, it is almost as if you committed a sin!
No preparation needed, particularly for the warehouse jobs. For professional positions, just be prepared to answer questions using the BAR method.
I feel the compensation is comparable for most positions.
I feel that the diversity depends on the location. In my location and region, there is representation at every level of the company. diversity is a priority at FedEx, and the company ties strategic goals to diversity initiatives.
The people and the culture. i entered the company with the idea that I would only stay for 3 months, years later, and I have grown exponentially, and regardless of the position, it is the people that FedEx that makes it a great place to work.
I thought the pros of working at FedEx were good exposure to the packing, shipping, and labeling of this fast pace global industry. The company offers special training to advancement opportunities, tuition reimbursement and great benefits.
In my experience, the cons of working at FedEx were short training sessions, no air conditioner, swamp coolers or 401k for the package handler.
My favorite perk were holiday pay, vacation leave, sick leave and paid time off.
what i like best about the leadership team at FedEx was the communication with respect. The major of the time upper management would hold the employees and staff accountable.
I would of improve FedEx culture by increasing diversity and truly enforcing the workplace beliefs, values and standards.
I prepared for an interview by doing research on the company's rules, standards, regulations and requirements.
In my experience, the compensation at FedEx when compared to the industry average is a little above the rest. The company adds more benefits and perks with the basic salary.
The representation of diverse demographics at FedEx is a variety of backgrounds including different races, ethnicities, genders, age and disabilities.
Personally, the most fulfilling aspect of my work at FedEx was the pay, benefits and job security.
The people that you work with meet some great friends pay was ok
Management was horrible they do not care about people safety show favertisom and very much racism
The friends i meet were great the benefits were ok but you have to work there for a year to get any
I can't answer this because there really is no leadership at FedEx
Can't answer this also there is no culture in this company they really don't care about their employees
Applying everyone gets hired
It was ok could have paid more
Very strongly disappointed people that I work with how the company treats it employees and if management is doing there job
Being able to learn new things
We get to pick out our own favorite items of clothing and water bottles to take home
Not enough hours to work and then they want to scale people hours so they don't have to pay us some of the managers like to play favorites with other people they like and that's not fair with me some don't get along with others
They give you the opportunity to take advantage of your time off if you have any they will help you sometimes but you have to get on them if you want them to help you
You're not unemployed.
It feels like a cult. An incompetent, inept, worthless cult.
Paycheck
I think the leadership team are inbred
Liquidate the company and start again
Bending over
Pathetic
Too many women
Disappointing customers.
The pay is great.
Management really do treat the employees badly and they do discriminate against people with disabilities.
The health, dental and vision insurance are great. There are also employee discounts on shipping and other perks.
The CEO is a good person and is hard working. The leadership team strives to offer the best for every employee.
FedEx needs to improve on diversity and they also need to provide better accommodation for people with disabilities.
I was hired immediately after the phone interview. However, management did not provide me an American Sign Language interpreter for my orientation when I requested for one.
Your coworkers are nice and management are a bunch of liars
They promise you if you work six days a week, till Christmas (3 weeks) They ended the bonus on the 16th we didn’t find out until after Christmas when our checks was minus the bonus.
When I’m walking out the door for the day
Nothing
I would fire this one racist manager, that everyone is well aware, and has been complained about her racist remarks. The people who complained are getting written up constantly.
I dressed nice and professionally and acted very professional
They would be great if they kept their promises, but they don’t.
I think everyone has the right to work where they want. All welcomed!!
When I’m done for the day and leaving
Having the freedom as an operations manager to be able to problem solve on your own.
The metrics at the time were unrealistic based on the prolonged hours and added volume due to COVID and the already existing rise of ECommerce.
The healthcare was great for a low cost and also having several discounts through a perk website.
It's an office the job and I love to do that kind of work.
My manager was always finding something to complain about in me.
Pay/benefits
It wasn’t hard like every said it was .
The management and payroll
It kept me from being at home and in the streets and I was allowed to work how ever long I wanted. For example I could finish my shift and stay for the next shift and work however long I wanted unless it was to many people there than they told people over shift to leave. And I was allowed to do as many over time hours I wanted to
It's a good workout
Locker room talk, immature management, no accomodations (like tampons in restroom from the woman)
Never had anyone help me actually sign up for any so I don't have any🤷♀️
the culture, my co-workers certain managers who were truely into developing a good team.
lots of favoritizm, management.
how quickly you can move up in the company, also benefits.
Fast paced and some co workers
To management your just another number. They can always find replacements
Challenging at times, makes me think
The people and management styles employed
Benefits
It’s effective and fun to be with a team and work through the boxes
Nothing
The hours worked is great
The people I work with
Upper management and working in trailers
Getting paid well
I work at my pace and there are no managers micro managing.
What I don’t like about working there is that it can get pretty heavy.
I liked the job a lot. The people were great, the job taught a lot about discipline, and I really enjoyed the team effort part about the job as well.
I liked everything.
Did not have any. I was only a part time employee.
Decent pay, paid by day rates. Can work as fast or as slow as you want as long as you get the job done
Inconsistency, poor management, stressful work volumes. No benefits.
Management, if it wasn't for my manager I would have already quit
Pay, too low for the back breaking labor
Great workout, Opportunities are unlimited
Great pay, great benefits, good leadership.
Not much to offer other than driving.
Health benefits
I get to work by myself away from people.
The coworkers are extremely lazy and the managers don't do much about them. It also seems like the managers do not want to be there and just there to get through the shift.
I don't have really any perks or benefits.
The early hours are great. I have the rest of the day to do what I need. My supervisors (Hot Springs, AR) are amazing and down to earth.
Low wages. Not 40 hours a week. You have to work 1000 hours to get insurance and that takes about a year.
1 hour of PTO for every 20 hours worked. When you do get the insurance I have heard it is really good. I haven't gotten 1000 hours yet, been working there 8 months now.
Inherently routinized, physical, important in some way, independent in some ways
office politics
the clothes and discounted travel though I never got to use the discounted travel
So far, my paycheck has not bounced.
It's ALL about the "numbers". Because of that fact, managers & supervisors use "slight-of-hand" to make said numbers. Not a good way to lead by example.
FedEx Freight has an easy attendance policy.
Peers, management, and customers
Some process (silo), and communications
The ability to create my own work flow, schedules with client, time management ,etc
Most of the people were great to work with.
Some weak middle managers, poor leadership and people skills.
People respect FedEx as they should. One of the best companies in the US
Great benefits, top pay in industry
Micro management from top levels (comes with any super large company)
Full benefits part time
dislike
management will be like your helicopter parents that monitor every move in an attempt to get you to leave
micromanagement is the beat part of working for fedex
It's a nice environment and the people that I usually end up working with tend to be very friendly
Managers tend to not care about their team(s)/ employees. The hours are not ideal. Some employees prove to be unprofessional and lazy.
