The company offer many opportunities for career and education growth, but most don't take advantage of those opportunities.
Management, especially ops supervisors may not be as engaged as they should be, or lack the communication and leadership skills to motivate workers towards improved performance.
Let's just say I am currently pursuing my master degree, and FedEx is paying for it.
Even with the many changes the company is experiencing in re-structuring, FedEx does its' best not to lay people off. I find that admirable.
Honestly, in my experience, FedEx has a great culture that is diverse and inclusive. However, if you did not enter as a package handler or courier, it is almost as if you committed a sin!
No preparation needed, particularly for the warehouse jobs. For professional positions, just be prepared to answer questions using the BAR method.
I feel the compensation is comparable for most positions.
I feel that the diversity depends on the location. In my location and region, there is representation at every level of the company. diversity is a priority at FedEx, and the company ties strategic goals to diversity initiatives.
The people and the culture. i entered the company with the idea that I would only stay for 3 months, years later, and I have grown exponentially, and regardless of the position, it is the people that FedEx that makes it a great place to work.
I thought the pros of working at FedEx were good exposure to the packing, shipping, and labeling of this fast pace global industry. The company offers special training to advancement opportunities, tuition reimbursement and great benefits.
In my experience, the cons of working at FedEx were short training sessions, no air conditioner, swamp coolers or 401k for the package handler.
My favorite perk were holiday pay, vacation leave, sick leave and paid time off.
what i like best about the leadership team at FedEx was the communication with respect. The major of the time upper management would hold the employees and staff accountable.
I would of improve FedEx culture by increasing diversity and truly enforcing the workplace beliefs, values and standards.
I prepared for an interview by doing research on the company's rules, standards, regulations and requirements.
In my experience, the compensation at FedEx when compared to the industry average is a little above the rest. The company adds more benefits and perks with the basic salary.
The representation of diverse demographics at FedEx is a variety of backgrounds including different races, ethnicities, genders, age and disabilities.
Personally, the most fulfilling aspect of my work at FedEx was the pay, benefits and job security.

They give you the opportunity to take advantage of your time off if you have any they will help you sometimes but you have to get on them if you want them to help you

The CEO is a good person and is hard working. The leadership team strives to offer the best for every employee.

I was hired immediately after the phone interview. However, management did not provide me an American Sign Language interpreter for my orientation when I requested for one.

The culture is amazing. FedEx provides volunteer opportunities that you can do during work hours. I joined fedex 5 years ago and have a pension plan and competitive 401k plan. Bonuses and raises every year. Tuition reimbursement and also internal learning opportunities. Work from home option. Executives know your name and have a clear picture of company direction.
