We are currently in search of a Legal Operations Manager to join our Legal & Regulatory team! Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Legal Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Global Legal Department, ensuring efficient and effective management of legal processes, and supporting the legal team in achieving its strategic goals. This role partners closely with the Chief Legal Officer, other members of the Global Legal Department and Audit and Risk Department, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders to streamline legal operations, manage legal projects, and implement best practices in legal management. NOTE: The ideal candidate for this position will work from our corporate office in Oklahoma City, OK, however qualified remote candidates residing in Texas, the East Coast or the DMV area (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) will be considered. Salary range: $75K-$80K (commensurate with experience) Job Requirements: Education Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field required. Experience 5+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, or a related field required. Experience within a global nonprofit or mission-driven organization strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of the legal intake processes and contract management. Experience managing legal projects and working with inside and external legal counsel. Demonstrated ability to train and influence stakeholders at all levels of leadership. Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in legal technology tools and systems. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Solutions-oriented with ability to assess requirements and priorities and effectively set expectations and manage priorities. Highly motivated and comfortable taking initiative and lead. Enjoys solving problems and embraces innovation and technology. Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally globally and across people at all levels. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment. Creative, flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and a can-do attitude. Familiarity with low code automation tools; and PMP, Scrum or Agile, or other equivalent project management skills strongly preferred. Essential Functions: Legal Operations Management Oversee the daily operations of the Global Legal Department, ensuring efficient workflows, retention, and resource allocation. Create, implement, and maintain processes and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services, including evolving homegrown legal intake and contract repository system in Formstack and Power BI apps. Manage the Global Legal Department's budget, including tracking expenses, completing variance reports, and recommending optimizing resource allocation. Project Management Support and/or lead new strategic projects for the Global Legal Department, ensuring timely and successful completion. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration on legal initiatives. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Governance & Legal Structure Oversight Help maintain global entity registration and governance trackers. Assist in preparing governance-related materials. Litigation / Legal Liabilities Oversight Coordinate and help maintain and regularly update global litigation and demand trackers. Prepare metrics and presentations for different audiences, including the Board, insurers, Executive Team management. Ensure that all legal claims, proceedings, and outstanding liabilities are reported through the standardized Litigation / Legal Liabilities process. Collect, verify, and submit monthly legal updates from Country Directors to the President of International Operations and the Chief Legal Officer. Oversight of Contract Management System Oversee the management of legal contracts and contract intake/ review/ repository system(s). Expand and mature existing systems to provide global support. Maintain that system to ensure timely renewals and compliance with contractual obligations, including termination notices. Develop user-friendly standardized templates and approval workflows to drive consistency and reduce legal and operational risk. Help develop contract review and authority matrix. Conduct regular compliance reviews to confirm that signed agreements are being executed as intended and flagged any gaps or risk for senior leadership. Maintain accurate, secure, and accessible records of all international agreements ensuring that documentation is up to date and properly archived. Collaborate with other team members to develop training on contracts. Legal Technology and Innovation Identify and implement legal technology solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal operations. Stay current with legal technology trends and best practices and recommend innovative solutions to enhance legal services. Provide training and support to the legal team on the use of legal technology tools. Information Governance and Knowledge Management Update and maintain legal quick references and self-help resources, including contract templates, best practice guides, playbooks, and 101 documents. Create and maintain Global Legal Department SharePoint site and internal team hub on SharePoint. Write articles on different legal topics of interest. Help to create training on different legal topics. Develop onboarding modules for new hires to understand legal and compliance expectations. Help to monitor legal developments Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with other departments, including finance, HR, and IT, to ensure alignment and collaboration on legal initiatives. Serves, when assigned, as a member of the Elected Officials Liaison Network supporting disaster responses across the nation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the Face of the Red Cross to maximize Red Cross presence and connectivity in the community and expand the community's awareness of the breadth of the Red Cross contribution to the community. 1. Manages a portfolio of strategic relationships with local elected officials and key community leaders and stakeholders with specific outcomes defined jointly by the Regional Executive and the Executive Director. This includes local elected government officials, legislators, and those with potential to collaborate with the Red Cross on volunteer recruitment and engagement, the disaster cycle (prepare, respond, recovery), Service to the Armed Forces, Training Services, and/or Biomedical Services as determined by the region. Conveys information and fosters increased awareness across the community of the full extent of Red Cross service delivery in a manner as to deepen the connectivity and commitment to the Red Cross as a primary partner, meriting community support. 2. Develops sustained community relationships to ensure capacity to achieve region mission goals. Revenue: ED to lead the chapter in supporting achievement of region revenue target, including support of Sound the Alarm events/STA fundraising target achievement (as applicable) and board member external solicitation goals; and meets assigned individual fundraising target by cultivating strong United Way relationships (as applicable), meeting annual chapter board member giving campaign, and maintaining a small number of key donor accounts as defined by the Regional Executive. Mission Capacity Building: Supports achievement of the region volunteer engagement goals, blood collection goals, and community engagement mission goals by identifying and stewarding specific strategic relationships in the community and serving as a connector for internal stakeholders for these activities. Leverages the board mission capacity committee, biomed committee, diversity committee, and community volunteer leaders to meet established goals. 3. Develops and manages the chapter board to effectively mobilize support and resources around the Red Cross mission. The chapter board must meet all published board guidance for board membership, committees, and member engagement in the mission (has all required committees; board engagement plan completed for all board members using template provided; board members understand board member giving expectations and personally meet board member give and solicitation expectations). 4. Develops, leads, and manages community volunteer leaders who are responsible for serving as the Face of the Red Cross in assigned territories; supporting mission capacity building by developing key community partnerships. 5. Influences to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion to effectively deliver against the Red Cross mission by ensuring that information flow is facilitated. The Executive Director informs the regional team, as well as volunteers and staff assigned to the chapter area, of community needs and communicates the American Red Cross programs and capacity needs to the community. 6. We are currently in search of a Corporate Gift-In-Kind Specialist to join our Corporate Products & Procurement team! The Corporate Gift-In Kind Specialist is responsible for supporting the fundraising efforts and initiatives of assigned members of the Corporate Products & Procurement team. This position helps coordinate gift-in-kind (GIK) donations from corporate partners to our Logistics/Inventory Management department for distribution to our partner agencies. This position will report directly to the Corporate Products & Procurement Manager. Job Requirements: Education High school diploma or GED required. Essential Functions: Coordinate donation opportunities from corporations across the nation and collaborate with Logistics/Inventory Management department to ensure that appropriate products are available for pickup. Manage the donation process with external corporate partners and donors, in-house colleagues, Feed the Children distribution centers, Logistics/Inventory Management department, and FTC Transportation. Under the direction of the Corporate Products & Procurement Manager, assist assigned members of the Corporate Products & Procurement team to procure gift-in-kind donations. Verify donations are available and gather necessary information needed by Logistics/Inventory Management before processing for pick up by coordinating with warehouse contacts and donors. Interface with corporate executive teams and their respective supply chain distribution center to ensure that guidelines and requirements are adhered to by the Corporate Products & Procurement team and communicated to Logistics/Inventory Management and FTC Transportation. Conduct regular follow up with Logistics/Inventory Management to ensure donations are handled according to donor requirements. Gather pertinent information for the completion of donation feedback reports and collaborate with Community Partner Assessment & Security for feedback for donor reports. Establish strong working relationships with colleagues and works cooperatively with all team members to help the Corporate Products & Procurement team to attain fundraising goals. Process donations through the AS400 database. Creates and maintains necessary documents via SharePoint, Excel spreadsheets, or other programs to assist in team fundraising efforts. Assists assigned members of Corporate Products & Procurement team with various special projects or campaigns with donors. Create and maintain accurate records in the CRM database.
