What You Bring Bachelors degree in business, education, curriculum development, or a related field required; masters degree preferred. Proven experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, organizational development, or talent development. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives effectively. Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences and learning styles. Experience with HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS); comfort leveraging technology to scale learning. The ideal candidate will occasionally work alongside crew members when needed to help the team. What You'll Be Doing Operate, inspect and maintain cranes at all boom lengths, angles and positions safely. This includes making difficult clearance judgements while watching the moving load and boom while compensating for variations in the crane's lifting capacity during position changes. Your Mission As our first-ever Fleet Director, you'll lead the charge for a scalable, safe, and cost-effective fleet program-evaluating current systems, implementing data-driven processes, and establishing standards that ensure reliability, compliance and efficiency across every vehicle and piece of equipment we own. You'll also spend some time traveling to develop and lead our current teams across Arizona and Texas, with regional needs and company-wide goals. You'll champion smart asset management, maximize equipment uptime, and strengthen our ability to deliver critical infrastructure projects. What You'll Own Lead and mentor a nationwide team of Sr. Fleet Managers, mechanics, and support staff to drive performance and safety. Partner with regional General Managers to align fleet operations with project and business needs. Manage daily operations for all fleet assets, including vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, and specialty units. Oversee the entire fleet lifecycle: procurement, deployment, preventative maintenance, utilization, and decommissioning. Ensure regulatory compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and FMCSA requirements. Implement and maintain fleet management systems, GPS tracking, telematics, and reporting dashboards. Monitor asset utilization and reallocation to maximize operational efficiency and reduce idle equipment. Maintain accurate records, logs, inspections, registrations, and certifications. Lead incident investigation protocols, implement driver safety programs, and support continuous improvement efforts. Develop and manage a comprehensive fleet budget (fuel, leasing, maintenance, lifecycle planning). Analyze cost-per-mile and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities. Negotiate and manage vendor relationships for maintenance, leasing, fuel, and equipment technology. What You Bring 7-10+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation (multi-state/national preferred). Proven leadership experience managing large, distributed teams. Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA, and FMCSA regulations. Expertise in fleet procurement, lifecycle strategy, and compliance management. Familiarity with UL standards and working knowledge of telematics and fleet management systems. Demonstrated success reducing operating costs and implementing process improvements. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data, build reports, and translate findings into actionable plans. What success looks like... Key Responsibilities System Administration & Ownership Act as the ultimate owner and subject matter expert for the health, usage, and optimization of our construction technology stack, including Trimble Viewpoint Vista and ProjectSight. Provide comprehensive Tier 1 & Tier 2 support for Vista and ProjectSight users, serving as the primary point of contact for everything from routine user questions to complex data and configuration issues. Manage user permissions and role-based security settings in partnership with the IT Support Specialist to ensure appropriate access to data and system functions. Coordinate with IT and department leaders to plan, test, and implement new features, system updates, and critical process improvements. System Integration & Data Integrity Oversee the data integrity of our integrated tech stack, ensuring seamless and accurate information flow between Estimating (ProEst), Project Management (ProjectSight), and ERP/Accounting (Vista). Serve as the key liaison between the Estimating, Operations, and Accounting departments to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data synchronization issues, ensuring consistency in cost codes, job setup, and cross-platform reporting. Maintain and govern master data templates, including cost code structures and job setup fields, to ensure data consistency across all systems. Reporting & Business Intelligence Translate raw system data into actionable business intelligence by developing and maintaining executive dashboards in Power BI and Viewpoint Analytics that monitor project health, financial performance, and operational KPIs. Partner with department leaders to build and refine custom reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS that address specific business questions and support strategic initiatives. Generate and standardize key project reports, such as RFI and Submittal logs, from ProjectSight to support project management teams. Training & User Empowerment Champion user adoption and proficiency by developing a comprehensive library of Tier 0 self-service resources (SOPs, video guides, cheat sheets) that empower employees to maximize their use of our technology. Deliver engaging and effective training sessions tailored to diverse audiences-from field superintendents to accounting staff-during onboarding and for quarterly system updates. Workflow & Process Improvement Proactively analyze and improve critical business workflows, including AP processing, field timekeeping, change order management, and daily log submission. Identify and champion opportunities to streamline and automate processes, enhancing the efficiency and communication between field and office teams. Support and optimize system workflows related to job setup, forecasting, billing, and subcontractor management. Compliance & Controls Configure and manage system workflows to support operational compliance with key industry standards, including OSHA safety reporting, certified payroll, and union requirements. Maintain robust and transparent audit trails within Viewpoint Vista for critical financial and contractual processes, including change orders, subcontractor compliance tracking, and client billing. Partner with the Safety and People Operations teams to ensure our technology platforms effectively support compliance with employee training, certification tracking, and labor regulations. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience. 3-5 years of experience in an administration or analyst role for Trimble Viewpoint Vista, with demonstrable experience in system configuration, custom reporting (Crystal Reports/SSRS), security administration, and/or new module implementation. 2+ years of experience with Trimble ProjectSight or similar construction project management software (e.g., Procore). Deep familiarity with construction industry processes, including job costing, WIP reporting, change orders, RFIs, and submittals. Proven experience developing reports and dashboards with tools such as Power BI, Viewpoint Analytics, Crystal Reports, or SSRS. Exceptional communication, training, and cross-departmental collaboration skills. Direct experience in the construction industry is required.
