Application for Gerhard R. Andlinger Visiting Fellow in Energy and the Environment The Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment invites applications for the Gerhard R. Andlinger Visiting Fellows Program, with start dates as early as August 2026. The program supports distinguished visitors-in-residence who can enhance the diversity and excellence of intellectual and academic life at the Center and strongly support its core mission. Applicants must propose a plan to engage with the Center and broader Princeton community in ways that will significantly enrich the Center's research and/or educational programs. Proposals that address one or more of our Research Initiatives are of particular interest. This plan should extend beyond simply advancing the visitor's career development, research, teaching, or advancing a single collaborator's research. Examples include: *Collaborations supporting team research with multiple Andlinger Center jointly appointed or associated faculty and/or research staff members on projects that advance core research areas. *Guest lecturing and/or teaching an Andlinger Center energy studies (ENE) or ENE-cross-listed course, with the goal of having the course material absorbed into a permanent ENE or ENE-cross-listed course that will ensure sustained benefit for Princeton students. Teaching appointments require approval by the Office of the Dean of the Faculty. *Presenting and/or organizing talks or workshops designed to augment conversation and expand expertise around key areas of interest to a broad spectrum of Andlinger Center associated faculty, research staff, and students. Successful candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, industry, government, academia, and non-governmental organizations, with the key qualification being demonstrated in-depth expertise in energy and environmental issues. Teaching Visiting fellows are not required to teach, but may seek to teach an approved course in their area of expertise or guest lecture in Andlinger Center undergraduate and graduate courses taught by Princeton faculty. Application Process Applicants must identify a Princeton sponsor with whom they should discuss and develop fellowship plans. Appropriate sponsors include Andlinger Center faculty, associated faculty, and senior researchers from our research directory. Proposals should also consider additional campus collaborators beyond the sponsor whose involvement would enrich the fellowship plans. As part of the application, the sponsor will be asked to submit a letter of support highlighting the applicant's unique attributes and the merit of their proposed activities. Guide the selection and use of real-time embedded platforms. Lead architecture and design of centralized ECU systems responsible for interfacing with critical peripherals such as braking and steering systems.
Design and optimize power management and power state strategies for different battery technologies, including low-voltage lead-acid and Li-ion chemistries for 12V and 48V systems.
Incorporate ECU hardware and software design considerations to support these varying power states efficiently and reliably.
Drive model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, including support for automatic code generation and integration processes.
Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and support the development of safety architectures, hazard analyses, and safety cases in collaboration with Functional Safety teams.

Summer Policy Internship
The ACLU-NJ seeks a highly motivated college or graduate student for our inaugural Policy Internship. The Policy Intern is a temporary role which requires a 10-week commitment from June through August 2025 at an expected 35 hours per week.
