Job Description: The UPS Sustainability Team is responsible for developing the strategy of and executing initiatives to enable the decarbonization of UPS' global operations. The team works cross-functionally to design and execute greenhouse gas reduction solutions across all business units and modes of transportation, as well as to design customer-facing sustainable logistic products. We leverage the power of data to manage and measure the progress of our initiatives, meet voluntary and regulatory disclosures, and enable analysis to make sound, financially prudent recommendations. This role will focus on measuring and validating carbon emissions, supporting decarbonization initiatives, and aiding in the development and implementation of sustainable transportation solutions for our customers. As a key member of the team, you will bring UPS into a brighter, more sustainable future. This position is an independent contributor position. Key Roles and Responsibilities include: Support the collection, validation, and reporting of sustainability data, ensuring compliance with relevant voluntary and regulatory standards, including but not limited to CSRD, CSDDD, SEC, and ISSB. Support the evaluation of data and system controls, working with data source owners to design, document, and implement controls throughout the sustainability reporting process. Support the development, testing, and review of reports to track the impact of decarbonization initiatives and progress towards organizational sustainability goals. Work with stakeholders to document, test, and validate sustainability data, and support collaboration with internal and external auditors during assurance processes. Support the research and development of analyses to uncover opportunities, mitigate risk, and guide our strategy and decision making for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Support the development of roadmaps, business cases, and execution of cross-functional initiatives to reduce UPS' greenhouse gas emissions. Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Qualifications Ability to manage multiple, large data sets to develop insights. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build complex models, understand financial statements, develop business cases, and develop other decision support tools. Advanced Excel skills and experience using analytical software tools such as Power BI. Self-starter with a strong attention to detail Ability to work with tight deadlines and support project teams. Effective communicator (written and verbal). Team player who can work cross-functionally to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.     THE ROLE The Literacy Fellow role is a high-impact, early-career pathway designed to build deep expertise in the science of reading. Fellows receive intensive, research-based training that prepares them to support scholars from their first day in the classroom. In the first six months, Fellows complete both LETRS and Orton-Gillingham training, gaining the knowledge and tools needed to deliver explicit foundational skills instruction and high-quality intervention. In the second year, Fellows step into co-teacher roles and work alongside experienced lead teachers who model strong instructional practices. Fellows apply their training through daily small-group instruction, targeted intervention, and shared responsibility for delivering rigorous, joyful reading lessons. Fellows may also choose to enroll in Relay Graduate School of Education to earn a Master's degree while continuing to build their craft. This two-school year Fellowship builds a pipeline of highly skilled literacy educators who are grounded in structured literacy, responsive intervention, and the instructional systems that drive strong reading outcomes. THE PERSON As a Literacy Fellow, you will: Support lead teachers in delivering high-quality, small-group reading instruction and intervention during the school day for scholars in Grades 2-4. Plan and implement targeted literacy lessons under the guidance of the lead teacher and instructional coach. Use data to inform instruction, track scholar progress, and adjust support to ensure measurable growth. This is a non- ACGME accredited research fellowship. The program offers specialized training in the principles and practice of medical simulation with a focus on training, human factors, system engineering, and patient safety. The goal of the Simulation and patient Safety Fellowship is to provide exceptional training in the fundamentals of designing and delivering medical simulations, performing simulation based clinical systems testing, following up on changes made from system testing. The fellowship is designed to be tailored to the needs of our trainees. All fellows will receive broad-based training in simulation and patient safety, receive a reading list of key articles, and a scholarship oversight committee that will include experts from around the country to help steer their research or educational project. The fellow will be supervised and evaluated on a regular basis by the Fellowship Program Director and Scholastic Oversight Committee. Competency Based Goals and Objectives: Fellow is expected to: + Be present for 75% Simulation core team meetings + Deliver simulation using traditional reflective debriefing and rapid cycle deliberate practice + Organize and lead simulation in the fellow's medical subspeciality when appropriate to improve care or patient safety + Complete course work assigned + Complete articles assigned in reading + Submit an abstract to national or international meeting. Knowledge acquisition will be reinforced with educational opportunities through didactic conferences, case presentation conferences, and quality improvement conferences. The fellow is expected to complete at least one project/abstract/manuscript related to medical simulation use for education, training or patient safety by the end of the fellowship year. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Due to the interdisciplinary nature of developing and implanting successful simulations, fellows must be able to help drive formative meetings and execution of simulations related to their primary project. Professionalism: As part of the development of academic leaders in Simulation, the fellow is expected to be actively involved in the teaching of bedside staff, residents and medical students during the fellowship year. Teaching occurs in the following settings: + Inpatient setting + Didactic conferences + Simulation Lab Systems-Based Practice: The fellow will gain competence in Systems-Based Practice by participating in a number of multidisciplinary experiences. These include: + Involvement in simulation, including helping to run simulation scenarios for Fellows and Advanced Practice Providers + Responsibility for giving lectures twice a year for Simulation Educators, either on education day or at the educator meeting. + Help create teaching scenarios for senior fellows and junior faculty + Performing a needs assessment to determine simulation objectives + Giving lectures to the residency if needed + Participate in palliative care training for fellows to gain exposure to working with standardized patients. + Organizing and arranging skills training sessions or workshops for trainees. In 2026, the Policy Advocacy team will be prioritizing legislative advocacy in four policy areas: 1) advancing immigrant justice; 2) protecting immigrant and civil rights; 3) affirming democratic values; 4) protecting our voting rights and voter access. Working under the direction of a member of the Policy Team, the Policy Intern will assist in developing materials in preparation for and during the 2026 legislative session. Potential projects and tasks include tracking bills, research and analysis of priority legislation, note taking at committee meetings, and creating engaging social media content. The Policy Intern will gain experience with state-level legislative advocacy, learn about working in coalition with organizational partners, and connect with Advancing Justice-Atlanta staff to learn about other areas of the organization. Depending on interest and capacity, the Policy Intern will also have an opportunity to identify an area of policy interest and work on a deliverable with support from the Policy Advocacy team during the internship period.
