Responsibilities
* Conducting immunological experiments using human blood and tissue samples from individuals living with viral infections, primarily HIV.
* Proficiently performing techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and colorimetric assays to assess immune cell populations, cytokine production, and antibody responses.
* Designing and executing experiments to investigate immune responses to viral infections, including assessing cellular and humoral immunity.
* Analyzing and interpreting experimental data and preparing scientific reports and presentations.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to develop and implement research projects.
* Keeping abreast of relevant scientific literature and contributing to the development of research proposals.
Qualifications
* A Ph.D. in Immunology, Virology, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in processing human blood and tissue samples for immunological assays.
* Proficiency in flow cytometry, ELISA, and colorimetric assays.
* Solid understanding of immunological techniques and methodologies.
* Experience working with human samples from individuals living with viral infections, particularly HIV, is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
