The Presidential Fellow oversees curriculum reform projects, including active learning methods, new program design involving the academic core, and a cross-disciplinary effort (single and combined) among different schools at the University. The incumbent reviews and appraises the University's current curricular backbone, portfolio, and pre-existing academic identity. Moreover, the incumbent detects and sorts the pioneering, value-added programs and courses offered to current and prospective, undergraduate and graduate students.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Introduces academic and educational factors, variables and indicators with which to measure and build up the University's new programs.
2. Offers innovative content, unconventional perspectives, use of foreign languages, internships, mentoring and counselling, civic engagement practices and social consciousness, project based-learning, regional diversity and international exposure of students while developing an easy-to-test, curricular approach to knowledge and practice.
3. Bolsters multidisciplinary scholarly within a collaborative faculty-student-staff environment, drawing up a transnational and transcontinental map of references that will inspire with other pioneering universities whose spirit, concerns, commitment and passion around higher education are aligned with those same values, mission and academic strategy upheld by the University.
4. Analyzes trends through secondary sources, benchmarking of offerings, program connections/links with the industries, face-to-face/blended formats plus teaching and learning methods, skills and competences to be developed, length of programs; price ranges; and socio-economic-demographic and academic background segmentation of "life-long learners".
5. Measures satisfaction, incentives and returns (relocation, promotions, earnings, etc.).
6. Explores non-mainstream education agents or learning providers: independent academies, corporate universities, professional associations, pure online platforms, publishing houses, museums, foundations, independent consultants, State agencies - through public subsidized courses -, as well as certain universities - through their specific executive education and continuing education units or professional studies division.
7. Underlines reskilling abilities, both hard and soft, that are most demanded in the current and evolving labor market, particularly in key industries that rely on technological or human-machine learning, as well as those rooted in any other kind of disruptions that might impact the workforce's stability.
8. Focuses on the University's Alumni Network -as primary sources- to help identify employers' training needs in a wide variety of industries and fields.
9. Finds out the training capacity and plans of HR directors, headhunters, mid-career managers and senior executives at different institutions.
10. Detects companies who outsource university Continuing Education programs instead of providing in-house training.
11. Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessment, implements and monitors controls.

Clinical training involves the evaluation, treatment, and referral of our undergraduate and graduate students. There are extensive opportunities to work with both male and female late adolescents and young adults, and, to a lesser extent, with adults of other ages.
There are rich opportunities to treat a very diverse clientele in terms of ethnicity, gender, culture, and socioeconomic background. The clientele presents with a wide range of problems including adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, major affective disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, and often present in psychological crisis.
The clinical caseload is generally 16-20 hours per week and includes intake/assessment, crisis management, and individual and group psychotherapy. It is expected that the trainees take advantage of the many opportunities to participate in campus outreach and education. Residents are also responsible for supervising a group of undergraduate peer educators. The remaining hours are spent in supervision, outreach, case consultation, seminars, and chart documentation.

This is a tenured, senior Associate or Full Professor position based on the Boca Raton campus, with appointment beginning August 2026. The position is a full-time, benefits-eligible, academic-year (9-month) appointment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an international reputation in the field of Holocaust Studies, with a record of distinguished scholarship, teaching excellence, and public engagement. We welcome candidates whose work engages Holocaust history, literature, testimony, memory, ethics, education, trauma, genocide studies, visual culture, digital humanities, or any interdisciplinary approach that expands and deepens the understanding of the Holocaust and its legacies.
Jewish Studies at FAU is an interdisciplinary program, with a BA and a Minor in Jewish Studies, as well as a minor and a certificate in Holocaust Studies. It is the home to the future Kurt and Marilyn Wallach Building for Holocaust and Jewish Studies which includes classroom and office space, a Holocaust Museum, and a gallery space, slated to open in Fall 2026. The new building will also house the Program in Peace, Justice and Human Rights and the Arthur and Emalie Gutterman Family Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education (CHHRE).
Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintain an active program of internationally recognized research and publication in Holocaust Studies or related fields.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Holocaust Studies, Jewish Studies, and related interdisciplinary areas.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students, fostering intellectual engagement and academic excellence.
- Provide leadership for and collaborate closely with the Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education and the Jewish Studies Program to promote scholarship, public education, and community outreach.
- Seek and manage external funding to support research, symposia, and educational initiatives.
- Participate actively in service to the university, the profession, and the broader community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Holocaust Studies, Jewish Studies, Religious Studies, History, Literature, Philosophy, or a closely related field.
- A record of excellence in scholarship, including a substantial publication record in leading presses or journals.
- Evidence of effective teaching and mentorship at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated experience with public and scholarly engagement, including lectures, symposia, and partnerships with museums, archives, or educational organizations.
- Proven record of service and leadership in advancing Holocaust Studies or related areas.
- Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse academic and public audiences.

The Postdoctoral Scholar position involves working on NIMH-funded projects on positive valence systems function in offspring of mothers with histories of depression in collaboration with Dr. Autumn Kujawa at Vanderbilt University.
Opportunities include gaining advanced training in multiple research methods (e.g., EEG/ERP, behavioral observations, ecological momentary assessment) with children, obtaining supervised clinical hours through diagnostic interviews and delivery of a positive affective prevention program, and writing manuscripts. The Postdoctoral Scholar will also receive support for travel for conference presentations and for writing mentored grant proposals.
Requirements include a Ph.D. in Clinical or Developmental Psychology (or a related field, including Cognitive Psychology or Neuroscience) by the appointment date. Ideal candidates should have experience with EEG/ERP methods or parent-child interactions and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Physician Fellow participates in an organized post-residency medical training program in which they have daily contact with patients and assume responsibility for their care, under the supervision of an accountable physician faculty member. All work performed by the Staff Physician Fellow must be relevant to their applicable academic field of study, and their term of employment shall not exceed the length of time necessary to complete the goals and objective of the training program, which shall not exceed three years of service.

* Thoroughly participates and engages in educational and scholarly activities associated with the training program, including passing of examinations, actively participating in seminars and other scholarly activities, attending required meetings, etc.
* Performs consultation, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Provides safe, effective, and compassionate patient care under supervision. Demonstrates own knowledge base and uses resources for clinical problem-solving, but also knows when to make proper use of the available supervisory and support systems.
* Analyzes own practice for needed improvement and seeks advice and input when necessary.
* Finds and uses evidence from scientific studies and clinical guidelines. Uses systematic approaches to improve patient care and reduce errors.
* Provides the highest standard of patient care and completes the associated medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
* Contributes to the working environment of the department by maintaining a professional atmosphere.
* Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Staff Physician Fellows on visas must also adhere to the conditions detailed by the U.S. Department of State.

This dual-focus fellowship provides access to cutting-edge laboratory facilities, field opportunities, and rich datasets to address urgent questions in pathogen transmission, microbiome ecology, and molecular pathogenesis.
Key Responsibilities
Design and conduct microbiome analyses on
Amblyomma variegatum
ticks, including field collection, dissection, and genomic sequencing.
Perform long-read sequencing, genome assembly, and bioinformatic analysis of
T. tenax
.
Analyze proteome and transcriptome data, including exosome characterization and cysteine protease identification.
Prepare and submit a minimum of 4 peer-reviewed manuscripts over the 2-year term (two per project).
Present findings at national and international scientific conferences.
Lead and contribute to intramural and extramural grant applications.
Supervise and mentor MSc, PhD, and DVM research students and volunteers.
