Role Overview
We are seeking a graduate student in accounting or finance (or a motivated undergraduate with prior experience) to join Rovex as a part-time Accounting & Finance Fellow. This role will support internal budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting as the company prepares for growth, fundraising, and grants.
Important: Rovex's bookkeeping and P&L preparation are handled by a paid external accountant.
This role is focused on internal financial analysis and reporting, not day-to-day bookkeeping.

Analytical techniques may include isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS), solution-based inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), laser ablation-ICP-MS (LA-ICP-MS), ICP-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), time of flight ICP-MS (TOF-ICP-MS), and/or secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) to generate high-resolution sea surface temperature and seawater d18O reconstructions during the Common Era, Holocene, and/or Last Interglacial Period.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of Dr. Alyssa Atwood to conduct original research, write manuscripts for publication, participate in professional meetings, and collaborate with faculty and graduate students at Florida State University, University of Hawai'i at Manoa, and Brown University. The candidate will also be encouraged to develop and pursue their own areas of research interest. Research in the group involves a combination of laboratory measurements, field work, and numerical modeling, which the successful candidate will be encouraged to incorporate into their own research based on interest. Trainees are mentored to gain professional skills such as research design and communication, grantsmanship, laboratory management and leadership training, networking, and navigating the faculty job market.
Qualifications
A PhD in geochemistry, chemistry, oceanography, geology, earth science, climate science, or a related field is required. Experience with stable isotope and/or trace element analytical techniques is strongly preferred, as are strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with a computer programming language such as Python, Matlab, or R is a plus.
Other Information
The appointment is for 24 months. Opportunities for raising extramural funding to support the position beyond that will be provided and encouraged. The anticipated start date is Jan. 2026, although some flexibility is possible.

PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, or any related field.
Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical training involves the evaluation, treatment, and referral of our undergraduate and graduate students. There are extensive opportunities to work with both male and female late adolescents and young adults, and, to a lesser extent, with adults of other ages.
There are rich opportunities to treat a very diverse clientele in terms of ethnicity, gender, culture, and socioeconomic background. The clientele presents with a wide range of problems including adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, major affective disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, and often present in psychological crisis.
The clinical caseload is generally 16-20 hours per week and includes intake/assessment, crisis management, and individual and group psychotherapy. It is expected that the trainees take advantage of the many opportunities to participate in campus outreach and education. Residents are also responsible for supervising a group of undergraduate peer educators. The remaining hours are spent in supervision, outreach, case consultation, seminars, and chart documentation.

The Field Department is responsible for the statewide elections program, pride outreach, data analysis and input, and grassroots mobilization for statewide actions.
Supporting the Field Department
Field fellows will work with their respective field staff to engage in grassroots outreach with an emphasis on campaign-style election mobilization.
This is a hybrid role where most of the work will be done virtually, but we will ask for assistance on in-person actions. Paid fellowships are a maximum of 10 hours per week commitment, and we expect Fellows to meet all 10 hours each week.
Responsibilities:
Identify progressive/LGBTQ events in the area to increase visibility
Train and recruit volunteers
Collect stories and build relationships with the community
Mobilize Equality Florida's membership to attend field events
Participate in and manage field events with the Field Organizer
Assist in the approval/passage of pro-equality policies
